The Michigandan who inspired the Rosie The Riveter posters died this week. Geraldine Doyle was 86. This is the photo that inspired the poster:

The poster is sort of like the pics of the sailor kissing a girl in Times Square, and the Afghanistani girl on the cover of National Geographic.
It's easier to remember images.
Time marches on. I hope she got more than 15 minutes of fame for her contributions.
Maybe Hollywood will make a movie about it, her life's story is riveting.
