He's making a list, checking it twice,
Gonna find out who's naughty and nice...

So if you make the "nice" list you get trinkets and candy in your stocking, and if you're on the "naughty" list it's twigs and coal?
Only in the mamby pamby USA.
In olde hard core Europe, Santa gives the "naughty" list to Krampus, who with the aid of sadistic parents, comes to scare straight the little crumbcatchers.

Krampus has a sidekick, Black Pete, to cover his back, so there's no splitting up to escape.
Japan and Korea has similar characters, so China may have also.
You've been warned, kiddos.

Santa/Krampus, God/Devil. It's all mythology.

Doesn't that look a little like John, of the McBoner Boys, in the bucket, far right.

I was certain you were going to post something from this comic. He just started a story arc about Krampus

Amazing. American children are notoriously unruly, but are held in check by the threat of no presents. European kids are better behaved, but require severe beatings to achieve the same effect.

I should do a study. I'll need someone to fund it. If I find a way to include a steaming elephant turd and a picture of Jesus, do you think the NEA or the Smithsonian will go for it?

No, but, MOMA, or the Tate Gallery might give you a showing...
