Miniature Christmas Ornaminks
A Holiday project the kids and I are working on.
We bought 4 $7 mini trees, and about $40 worth of Fimo/Sculpey/cheap brand bake hard modeling clay. (you bake it on 230 degrees for 20 minutes to set it)
it's fun....
here's an hour or so worth of candy canes:
better shot of the Elephant, and the piggy:
the boy made a squad of ginger bread men, and some tasty beverages for them if they get thirsty:
he also made a blue bird and a cardinal:
the girl made a chocolate squirrel and a baby bottle:
such a crafty family! Nicely done!
Everyone gets their own tree. Sounds like a fun project, it's also interesting to see what people feel is a good decoration for their tree.

yeah.
Are those last things cigars, penii or baby carrots??
I like the elf, and the bell, and the tree shaped ones.
Great job! That is some talented art projects. I am impressed. I don't think you can ever do enough of that kind of stuff with your kids.
yeah.

I thought the middle one was Mr Hankey?
Great Project. I like the Wol.
Oh man, the pig is my favorite by far. Look at that expression!
I love these, Jim! What a fun project. I might have to do that with my family, actually. Great idea!
it's totally fun. I wish I had more time in my life. I spent 3 hours doing it one night by myself!
I might do some tonight. gimme ideas?
How about cartoon characters. I have some mini Simpson's ornaments. They're fun,or vehicles,( yeah, after working with them all day, NOT :P) or some musicians.
This thread makes me wish I could do parenting all over again, or borrow some kids.
great project jim
Sky, I think someone should start a "Rent-A-Kid" franchise business.
There's a store-front in Oregon City with that sign in the window, but it's only open on weekends.
The kids do yard work or whatever.
On school holidays, there's a 10 yr old boy that loves baseball.
He bats tennis balls for my Lab, Vicky, and she retrieves the balls so he doesn't have to chase them.
A great pairing of insatiable needs...
Cool stuff! I am trying to figure out what brand those tasty beverages are...Pilsner Urquell maybe?

I think this sounds awesome lamp. :thumb:
...but for myself
If I could just hold a baby for 20 minutes then hand it back, I'll be fine. :)
You should do a cellar Christmas tree. Make figurines of all the dwellars.
Sounds like what nightmares are made of, or a good idea for a twilight zone rerun. :)

dragonflies and peacocks, cock.
no, wait, do dwellars!
Those are phenomenal! You, sir, are a man of many talents, and have provided 50% of the contribution toward talented children.
more from Spencer:
Grapes, Bouquet, Planets
My Great White Sharks, Orca, and Sperm Whale:
It's excellence. Except we now have a copy of your fingerprints. :D
You could put little magnets in them, and stick them to metal objects when the holidays are over.
spencer's pilot whale, The Grinch, and a little dog (might do antlers for him
octopus turkey and stewie
cookie monster.... spencer made a 'cane' of these smilie faces, and the spider web
Venus is really detailed, I like it.
These are totally awesome! Is this clay pre-colored or are you 'dyeing' it?
Those ornaments are really nice. Your kids are really lucky to have you doing stuffs with them. I feel guilty for not putting out enough time to do projects with my nephew. :sniff: I promised that we'll build a fan powered car and I never made time for it. He finally stopped asking. :(

The clay comes in a million colors, but we bought mainly primary colors and do a lot of blending to get what we need.
I made a cock, but have not yet uploaded it.
we had whales, now we need whale........
there will be no whalepenis ornaments. this is a family event.
I'll try to get the rest of the pics up tonight. I think we have enough to start decorating the trees now. I got some store bought mini ornaments too... bells and balls and little garlands.... I'm torn on putting lights on them..... i guess I need to decide that before I start decorating them though....
Ippy's Elmo, Spencer's Aeroplane(ala The Wall), and Daddy's Pie
spencer's guitar...and then his fast food value meal
(which won the day), and a non fimo glass ball I painted....
Nice cock!
Two words you don't want to hear in the men's room
The c c ..rooster is wonderful.
The value meal is amazingly done too.
I was questioning what the campfire was until I saw the caption. lol
..and is that painted glass? I love that stuff.
Nice cock!

Or have someone be looking over your shoulder at your comment. I am cracking up right now.
Aqua Teen Hunger Force, number 1 in the hood G.
Spencer's dog looks like Santa's Little Helper.
Cool glass ball you got there, Jim. Goes nicely with the Cock.
Have you tried reverse painting yet?
hard to get the brush inside there. the white is on the inside, but i couldn't reach any higher, so the blue is outside. as are the trees.
Where is the Whale Penis? Really, come on man, where is it?
Is he playing hide the pickle with the whale penis again?
Good times, indeed. Very nice!
Who made the Grinch? I love this family project.
Really lovely, Jim. Looks like you all had a great time!!
It was fun watching this project come together. These are great Jim!
Who made the Grinch? I love this family project.
I did.
thanks, everyone... it is a lot of fun, and easy to do. makes a great gift too. My sister still puts the one we made for her in the early 90's up every year.
french hens, caling birds, gold rings, geese a-laying
7 swans swimming, 8 maids a milking, 9 ladies dancing, 10 lords a leaping
11 pipers piping, 12 drummers ( with mohawks ) drumming
spencer made the rings, maid/cow, the swan, the lords, the piper. I made the drum kit, he made the drummer. I made the tree, the turtle doves, hens, dancer, goose and calling birds.
I'm impressed with the maids a'milkin. Did you put magnets in them?
I thought the piper piping was eating a foot-long with extra mustard.
I like the over the top image of all of them.
The breasty lady dancing can't get up.
....
The breasty lady dancing can't get up.
There are days when I feel like that ...
Me too, except I feel like I'm driving on the rims. sometimes
I'm impressed with the maids a'milkin. Did you put magnets in them?
I just realized what you meant. that shot looks like they're vertical. that's a cookie sheet with parchment on it. no magnets.
Love, love, love them all.
If I thought anyone would hang them on their tree I'd be emulating you next year - sadly, the family members that love me just don't do trees any more.
All beautiful, but I have to admit I'm in awe of your cock.
Once I saw it, nothing else could compare.
I just realized what you meant. that shot looks like they're vertical. that's a cookie sheet with parchment on it. no magnets.
Yeah, I thought #72 was on the side of your refrigerator.
But wouldn't they be cool with magnets?
they would. I'll ask the kids if they think we should get magnets and glue them on. They're giving the set to jinx, so I'll leave that call up to them.
I'll say it again, these are really neat. You should make some bacon eggs and toast. Maybe pancakes with butter and syrup. Do they make transparent fimo?
nice.... I have never seen transparent, but I could figure something out. glue maybe. wonder if I could manage a Belgian Waffle.....?
Yes, and a little glass of orange juice...but you would need transparent for that, too.
Breakfast is my specialty. I have my kids convinced that I am the God of Breakfast.
Because, frankly.... I am. no, really. I am.
Yes, Jim, I see that you are ;)!
Shouldn't those be in the Bacon thread?
Wait, that looks like a real pancake.
I think he squashed a lighter-colored layer in between the top and bottom, to give that perfectly accurate edge look. Very nice!
You Guys are having ENTIRELY to much Fun !!! :)
