So what's the deal now that the guys are going to jail? Endof PB? Will another spring up, or will a new, shinier thing come along to replace it?

Does the ruling affect you? Why are some countries blocking it and others not?

pirate bay is no longer run by those gentlemen so it will continue to operate.

Oh. So who's running it? Is that known? Are they not being sought? Does it really matter? 25 million users!

Whatever happens next, not much will change for the users of the popular BitTorrent indexer. The Pirate Bay website will remain online and operating as usual. None of the defendants are involved in the site anymore, and all assets are reportedly owned by the Seychelles based company Reservella.

Pirate Bay has been old news for some time. Its shutdown will have practically zero influence on the amount of torrenting out there.
