Haven't posted in awhile! The Mrs. and I went up to Gustavus, Alaska to stay with my son who had worked the summer at the Gustavus Inn as their chef. Here are few out takes.
We did a few days of salmon fishing and were successful. Brown bears can be a nuisance so my son had to threaten one with a stick.
We had unusally mild and clear weather which made for great sunrise and sunset shots!
love that black and white shot. the little stars of light on the water are fantastico!
I like the first shot with you and your son. just--happy and handsome!

I like that one too. Especially because the text right above it says "The Mrs. and I..." lol!!!
I was in AK in 1997. I LOVED it! But that was pre-Palin. :-)
Thanks Chris, they're beautiful. You hit the trifecta, good weather, Salmon, and the center of the tourist area, although I suspect it was at least partially good planning on your part.
Re: the B & W
The B&W conversion just worked as the color was bad and it just had that back lit quality. Thanks!

Some folks say he takes after me but I think he is the better looking one!
It's mini Chrisinhouston!
Great photos!
Would you be willing to post one or two of the scenery shots in wallpaper size? They're really great shots.

Great pics! thanks for sharing.
Got any more?
Outstanding photography skillz you got going there, Chris. So jealous of the Alaska trip, I've wanted to go since I was little bitty feller.
Yeah, those damn pros make the rest of us feel so inadequate. On the other hand, they do inspire us to keep trying. :haha:
Great pictures all round! What did the salmon say?
Chris, is your gorgeous son single?
Does he like a woman padded for the cold winters with an English accent?
Can I get a Green Card?
Beautiful photos. You and your son are equally good-looking, don't be daft. Those eyes!
And I love to see things that belong in a documentary (to me) in a Dwellar's family photos.
Cheers for sharing.
Thanks for sharing those Chris. They are wonderful!
Great pics man! Thanks for posting them!
