Small World Competition is dedicated to furthering creativity and excellence in photomicrography


This is the 2010 winner by Jonas King, Vanderbilt University.

my guess without looking: top --looks like a textile or fiber; bottom--salt

eta: lol! way off on first one; off on second one, but not too far off!

I thought they were both props from the new Tron movie. Wrong and wrong.

I think my Sea Monkeys were all inbred and stupid. I never once saw them turn on the television or pick up the mail. I had, like, the carnival freaks of the Sea Monkey continuum.
