Oktoberfest, titties and beer, what's not to like.

Part of the celebration, is the Beer stein carrying competition, for the carriers.
This years winner carried 19 mugs, at about 5 pounds each, over the course.

I don't know how long or difficult the course is, perhaps somebody can chime in?

I do believe that woman is probably carrying close to her own body weight in beer...

Wow, she could certainly beat me in arm wrestling.

Very impressive. I went to Oktoberfest as a teen, but avoided the beer tents because they were far too raucous and I wanted to go on the rides anyway. The day before, I had been to the Hofbrauhaus, which is a permanent beer hall in the city center, and the servers there were only carrying about 4 of these at a time. The mugs were really thick glass and all chipped and worn. An empty mug weighed like a pound or two. My parents let me drink beer in Germany at 16 years old, and one of those 1 liter mugs really got me buzzed. They hold around 3 US bottles.

I read, this year they had more rowdiness then in the past. Must have been leftover soccer fans. :haha:

We could finally answer the age-old question, "What's a Steinway?".

At first I thought the lady looked familiar - Sarah Palin. But that
doesn't look like tea. :p
