National Anthem (USA) on YouTube

Why me? I'm a bloody foreigner!

I need to "acquire" a good version of the Star Spangled Banner to be played before the start of our home swim meets. Preferably with vocals that don't sound like the local pub's karaoke star testing dog-only hearing ranges, or going for the world record number of notes you can use to sing one syllable..
I find it easiest to "acquire" stuff from youtube.

your suggestions/links, please

thanks

Just pick one that sounds ok to you, nobody's paying attention anyway.

Or be a rebel and play Ray Charles' America the Beautiful. You might actually get people to sing along. 99 cents at amazon

These guys do a decent job with it. You'd have to cut the first bit.

ok, still floundering -need a non "live" sung version. i.e. with words, and not some unaccompanied 3yo who happens to be cute but you can hear the family ans audience in the background ..

logically, YouTube is probably only going to have live stuff. Have you tried downloading one from Amazon or iTunes?

ooh, good one. who is that? sounds familiar? Carrie Underwood maybe?
Shawnee123 • Oct 17, 2010 11:52 pm
Sounds like Carrie...way too much modulation and trite in that way. Can anyone just sing it straight? I don't need 12 notes to mean a couple notes. Ahhh...Pete knows. Nice harmony on that one.

I think we can all get behind this one.
