I have some ExLax that expired in February of 2000. Think it'll still work?

I bet it works better than ever.

The shrinks here generally say that you can go one year past the expiration date, but no further out than that.

Expired 10 years ago??!!?? Eek! :3_eyes: Well, tell us how it went after you tried it. :p:

A pharmacist friend of mine once told me the expiration date does have a legal definition: it is the point at which 10% of the substance is no longer active and/or no longer the same substance because it has broken down in some fashion.

OMG! I just remembered. My sister drank expired Ex-Lax once, and it hadn't expired that long, not ten years. Shortly after she drank it, her mouth went extremely dry as if there's no saliva whatsoever left. That's when she decided to check the box and found out that the Ex-Lax was expired. And no, it didn't work at all. :p:

I remember in college I took expired Tylenol cold and sinus medicine. It was only expired a month or two, so I figured what the hell? Yea, not a good experience. After I finally got my mind out of the clouds, managed to sleep most of the day away. I won't ever try that again.

You make that sound like it's a bad thing. ;)
