Shootout in McKinney

Authorities said the incident began about 9 a.m., when 29-year-old Patrick Gray Sharp pulled his truck, which was hauling a trailer, in front of the Department of Public Safety building in McKinney, about 30 miles north of Dallas.
Sharp set the truck on fire, igniting ammunition inside the vehicle in what police believe was a tactic to draw people out of the building, Kowalski said. Sharp also attempted to set fire to the truck's trailer, which was carrying wood chips, road flares, gasoline and ammonium nitrate fertilizer, but it failed to ignite, Kowalski said.

Hmmm, Patrick Gray Sharp doesn't sound like an illegal alien, or a Muslim, so I guess he was just another Texas wacko. They speculate the truck fire was to draw the cops outside where he could shoot them, or they would get blown up by his trailer bomb that didn't work.
When the cops didn't come out he took some shots at the college security office across the street, then likely killed himself.

I had one of our guy counselors come to talk to the guy. He still didn't tell the guy what he wanted to hear (who's a goo' boy. Him is. Yes him is!) but he didn't seem ready to come across the desk and punch him, either.

Sharp had a MySpace page that showed him holding a number of firearms. One caption read, "I love guns more than toothpaste."

Another photo showed a bullet-riddled steel plate. The caption read, "What if that was your face?" A third image showed a target with a photo of Osama bin Laden.

The page was last updated July 8. It described the owner as "fermented," one of the angriest of the options. It was made private Tuesday afternoon, and later removed entirely.

We had drive by shooting in lil old Adelaide a few weeks back. Some yobs let fly at a bus that was picking up from a bus stop, gave it a good spraying.

Luckily, the driver had his window closed because it was winter and the nails from the automatic nail gun bounced off.

In the same week, someone put some rivets through a shop window, and someone else was playing silly buggers with a slingshot to similar effect.

Seriously, though, the Hells Angels and a rival (probably splinter) gang, the New Boys, have been shooting up each other's front doors lately, no one hurt yet but sooner or later... we'll be down by a few dodgy individuals. I'll send flowers.
