So much of stuff about Japan is weird and this is probably one of the least weird things (see other threads about octupi, Hello Kitty in camoflauge gear and transvestites on stilts). Given that I'm a very ungirly girl, when I was in Japan, I found the squealing, jumping up and down, walking around pigeontoed (and feigned helplessness) that alot of the girls engage in totally incomprehensible. FFS, you can't run or get anywhere very fast if you're walking pigeontoed, can you?...taking the piss-it's the only way to deal with it.
