blade runner - theatrical release - I like happy endings

the matrix (the first one)

The star wars series (all six)

The Jurassic park movies

The Mummy movies

MIB

Independence Day

The Lion, the witch, and the wardrobe

Pirates of the Caribbean (only the first one)

I'm sure I'll think of others, but that's a start.

+1

[Lori goes for her gun, Quaid shoots her in the head, killing her]
Douglas Quaid: Consider that a divorce!

A little campy, but some great lines in that movie.

I loved Braveheart, but I'm not sure I could stand up to repeated viewings.

Braveheart's way too sad. I also like the Star Wars movies, and POTC (ALL of them--are you kidding?); and Independence Day

Also:

Hunt for Red October

Love this line from the Bourne Ultimatum trailer:

[from trailer]
Pamela Landy: This is Jason Bourne, the toughest target that you have ever tracked. He is really good at staying alive, and trying to kill him and failing... just pisses him off.

I'm a sucker for anything post-apocalyptic. Plus, the car chases, punk rock costumes, and gratuitous gore. What's not to like?

I always thought that The Road Warrior was the best of the trilogy.

My favorite watch again and again action movie is Die Hard.

Anything with Jackie Chan.

The Road Warrior is my very favorite movie, ever.

It's the perfect action movie--impeccably choreographed chase scenes, nicely-timed violence, quotability, hilarity, fascinating characters, and the incredibly Hot Snarky Man.

Speaking of Mel Gibson, I liked Braveheart ("Some men are longer than others"), but couldn't finish watching the Patriot (too much violence for my liking). Somehow I made it to the end of Apocalypto...Henceforth I've decided to give all Mel Gibson movies a miss in spite of appreciating the concept of them
