May 27, 2010: Images to Keep in Your Camera

Image

This guy took a series of photos that he always keeps in his digital camera. In case he loses it, a person scrolling through the photos will be able to watch the series and hopefully return his camera to him.

You can see his permanent photos here: http://www.andrewmcdonald.net.au/a-pictorial-guide-to-avoiding-camera-loss/

(Folks, I don't know what I did wrong. The picture I attached doesn't show up on the main page, but when going in to the "reply to this thread" screens, then you can see the picture. Can somebody fix this?)

Cool idea. We have an address label on ours. People keep telling us "what a good idea". Which bemuses us a little seeing as it seems like the obvious thing to do..... but this really is a good idea. I may steal it.

Of course it won't work until I (read besst) download the thousands of images and erase them from the camera -the finder would never get to the pertinent ones before they died of boredom from all the treasure hunt experiments and the occasional odd picture I take just to make beest say "WTF" when he's downloading them......

Gotta remember to put them on all the various memory cards.

I'm planning to get a couple more memory cards before our summer vacation.

I used to have a pair of draws that had a line right under the elastic band. Under that it said "You must be this tall to ride this ride."

On your cell phone, you should have a listing for ICE (In Case of Emergency), with an emergency contact number. In case you lose your phone, or, God forbid, are in an emergency situation, the people who need to know can be told.

isn't there a "lost camera" site. I'm sure I saw one where people post the pics from lost cameras so you can find yours. among thousands.
