i watched the series finale tonite, and the dumb jimmy kimmel special afterwards

WARNING SPOILERS IF U DONT WANNA KNOW DON'T READ

my unanswered questions:

1. where did the polar bears come from??
2. how come the "others" were able to walk silently in seasons 1 and 2, but not the rest of the series?
3. how did benjamin linus get out from under the tree in the storm? NEVER EXPLAINED
4. i still don't know where the sideways timeline fits in....i need something chronological
5. ana lucia (michelled rodriguez) is cool enough to be in the penultimate episode, but she isn't in the church at the last part of the finale???
6. WHERE WAS MR. ECKO???

great series, season 1 and season 2 still were my favorites by far

My favorite character was Mr. Ecko of course, and my favorite episode was Richard's backstory, in Ab Aeterno!
Only one real complaint: Jack's son is completely useless toward LOST

Other thoughts?

1. where did the polar bears come from??

The cages in the Darhma initiative.

2. how come the "others" were able to walk silently in seasons 1 and 2, but not the rest of the series?

The silence added to the mystery. Once the writers introduced us to the point of view of the others, they were no longer a mystery, so they just dropped that aspect of them.

3. how did benjamin linus get out from under the tree in the storm? NEVER EXPLAINED

Does it matter? the earthquakes shifted the tree or something.

4. i still don't know where the sideways timeline fits in....i need something chronological

They are in heaven, and as Jack's Dad explained, time has no meaning there.

5. ana lucia (michelled rodriguez) is cool enough to be in the penultimate episode, but she isn't in the church at the last part of the finale???

The actress probably wanted too much money, so they only shot 30 seconds with her in the previous episode.

6. WHERE WAS MR. ECKO???

Not important enough to make the cut.

I am disappointed in the ending. "They're all dead" is just as bad as "It was all just a dream." Great series finale up until the last 15 minutes. Boo. I could have wrapped it up better in those final 15 minutes.

Lost lost me after season 3. I think it went so far downhill and became ridiculous, but thats just me. Oh and I'll admit I watch about zero network tv. Discovery, history, DIY... is where I spend most of my time.

I stopped watching after the season 2 finale, but I watched all the final season. "Lost" about covers it.

Im' dead, you're dead, we're all dead here!

I'm amused about it - Is that how they really ended it? With everyone being dead? Thats a major WTF.

Yeah. The ending wasn't that the Island was them all being dead. The Island was real. But they had done a sideways time line in the last season where they were all living regular but slightly different lives back in the real world, having never crashed. It was that sideways time line that was them being dead.

The sideways thing has never made sense to me and it still doesn't. I was a little pissed after the finale. There are still a lot of unanswered questions and I guess I should have given up waiting for answers years ago. Stupid show!

I watched the first 2 seasons and liked it, but it seemed like they were making it up as they went along. I guess they were...

I stopped watching for most of a season after a couple of years and then picked it up again in the following season. I felt like I hadn't really missed much, because everything is such a mystery anyway, the handful of clues you were given in the season I missed amounted to very little. Plus, they would often do reruns with those pop-up video style bubbles that would tell you what was going on, and those filled me in for the most part.

It was an entertaining show. I'm not one of those people who will claim that it was an intelligent show or a thought provoking show. It was just entertaining and suspenseful.

It could have been so much better if they just changed those last 15 minutes. They really tainted the entire series.

So did Bobby Ewing get out of the shower, or what?

I never watched this.

Perhaps I'll read the Wikipedia entry.

Hell I don't know. I still can't figure out if Audrey died in the bank explosion.
