Or... Why didn't I realize this sooner?

I'll go first: House & Wilson = Holmes & Watson.
lumberjim • May 17, 2010 8:57 pm
Fred & Barney = Gleason & Norton

Flint & Lumberjim = I Have No Idea & What You're Talking About
Pie • May 17, 2010 9:58 pm
Certainly. Holmes = "homes" = house.

House plays guitar and piano, Holmes played violin.
House has vicodin, Holmes had cocaine.

OK pie, that's 25% I got that far too.

OMG!

Was anyone else completely grossed out by the House/Cuddy season finale kiss?

It had me wishing he'd taken the vicoden.

GrossGrossGross!

*Glares at Bri*

Hasn't aired here yet.

[eta] Oh and House was very consciously modelled on Holmes. Quite aside from the House/Holmes Wilson/Watson thing, there are numerous references to the Holmes stories throughout. The name Irene Adler (I think it was Irene), for example was the name of the only woman who got under Holmes' skin. There are a bunch of others, but I can't recall them off hand. he also follows the Holmes method of eliminating the impossible and considering that whatever is left, no matter how improbable, must be the truth. His obsession, infact, with 'truth' and solving the puzzle is also very Holmes.

's ok....in fairness it's not like I watch House for surprise plot elements :P
Tulip • May 18, 2010 3:12 pm
Hmm...interesting, didn't see the connection.

And btw, I didn't see yesterday's episode either. I'm busy during the airing time so I'd have to wait a week later to watch it on hulu. :(

Initials: Watson, John & Wilson, James. House & Holmes also share at least the same house number, 221B, not sure about the street name though. Also, they share addiction, House=Vicodin, Holmes=cocaine.

Also they both use musical performance to help them think.
