They should have shot the asshole.

Cops in my town have been having very bad luck with tasers.

So far in 2010, Arlington County cops have used tasers on people only 4 times, and 2 of those 4 times resulted in the death of the person being tased. For a supposedly non-lethal weapon, that's probably a higher kill rate than guns have.
