That pic reminds me of a really bad 'flu I had, back in maybe 2002 or 2003. I was coughing up chunks like that every half hour or so for a week. Bleurch.
A nurse at my Doc's was able to tell whether it was bacterial or viral by the colour of the phlegm, a skill I am not sorry to lack.
