I got a prescription for Chantix and started taking it on Saturday. They tell you to make your quit date a week from the day you start taking it. I opted to quit the day after I started and haven't had one since Sunday night.
You take a pill in the morning for the first three days and then also one at night thereafter. I have only had minor sleep disturbances with it and opted to keep taking it in the morning only. I didn't want any additional sleep disturbances and it seems to be taking care of the cravings well enough that I don't think I need to take the second pill. Compared to going cold turkey, the cravings are minor.
