April 16, 2010: Spotty or Pongo?

xoxoxoBruce • Apr 16, 2010 1:37 am
The article say this cross between a Dartmoor pony and British Spotted pony, is named Spotty.
But the caption under one of the pictures says, "The newborn foal - real name Pongo - has been spotted on running about Dartmoor".

Whatever his name, he's young and tender. :yum:

Hey, even his little wee wee is spotted.

Brits, is that where you get Spotted Dick?

Still waking up when I read this and at first glance, I knew you were talking bout the odd looking pony, it looked like you said it was a cross with a Dalmatian. Thanks for the very odd mental image, you guise should be over at /b/.

There's a restaurant in Edinburgh that has recently put horse on the menu.
Just saying...

Yes and No. I think the word 'dick' comes from a German word meaning piece. But the word also may mean 'pudding' which itself is an archaic slang term for prick.

Hmmm... Spotted Dick.
We keep this can in our kitchen. It's a great reaction grabber.

We should be grateful for it - it's so much fun watching the tourists turn green. :D
