podcasts--do you really listen to them?

lots of cool ones, but I find the implementation hard to work out in RL. I don't quite understand how they cycle in my itunes--they seem to drop off, or cycle or something not convenient. I guess I am still struggling with the concept.
DanaC • Mar 28, 2010 4:12 pm
I listen to a couple of them intermittently, but I don't subscribe to any, I just dl them as I want them.
Cloud • Mar 28, 2010 4:15 pm
yeah, the subscription thing is hard to figure out. it's also damn tricky to delete stuff in iTunes, so they tend to clutter up my devices.
DanaC • Mar 28, 2010 4:16 pm
I haven't noticed any difficulty deleting stuff in itunes.
Cloud • Mar 28, 2010 4:19 pm
you can delete, but if you synch your device back, sometimes the songs/whatever show up again. you have to make sure to synch both
DanaC • Mar 28, 2010 4:29 pm
Ahh, gotcha. Do you have sync checked items only selected?
Cloud • Mar 28, 2010 4:54 pm
er . . . yes?
DanaC • Mar 28, 2010 5:47 pm
Bugger. Then I don't know :P
TheMercenary • Mar 28, 2010 6:07 pm

zippyt • Mar 28, 2010 6:58 pm

Itunes just Grabs the latest
TheMercenary • Mar 28, 2010 7:23 pm
So can you configure Itunes to grab specific shows on a regular basis? I didn't know that.
zippyt • Mar 28, 2010 7:37 pm
Yeah , Just go to Itunes , My device , there is a Tab for Pod casts
You have to play with it some , but you can get it to grab yer pod casts For you
TheMercenary • Mar 28, 2010 7:49 pm
Can I do it just for my computer without having an Ipod? That is where I download mine to hear them.
zippyt • Mar 28, 2010 7:52 pm
You Should be able to , there is a Pod cast dir in i tunes
TheMercenary • Mar 28, 2010 8:12 pm
Thanks zippy. I will have to play with the program to see if it can capture what I want. 99% of it is all NPR and Public Radio stuff.

I enjoy these fine fellows:

Adam Carolla
Marc Maron
Greg Fitzsimmons
Smodcast (Kevin Smith)
SteveDallas • Mar 31, 2010 8:28 pm
I like Adam C, and I've heard so many good things about his podcast. It's something I ought to like a lot. But... I can't stand to sit through it a bit. Marc Maron is OK. Smodcast is sometimes entertaining.

I personally like these dudes a whole lot: Comedy Death Ray

I also enjoy the Hardcore History podcast by Dan Carlin.
