Show here is "Pregnancy series - Seven Stages," by the late U.S. sculptor George Segal.

I wish we had a better shot of it, but this is a news image meant to show us that the exhibit is happening in St. Petersburg, featuring 98 of Segal's works.

Segal is not the actor George Segal.

Maybe he's related to Steven Segal though.

Are these sculptures or casts? Or are sculptures and casts the defined as both being part of sculpture?

Although this shot does not show the art incredibly well, the composition is interesting. In the background we have a woman wearing a dress. Because of the focus setting the silouette is made skinny so that along with the sculptures we have from forground to background, fat to skinny.

Her neck creeps me out. So does her tail.

I haven't read any of Neil's books, but I've admired his excellent website at www.neilgaiman.com.

I mean is is just me or this that the most freaky, image in the background. This is what I imagined the Blair Witch to look like.

Ohh I know lets start and urban myth about it.
