From Monday till Friday of last week, I was in Atlanta at a conference. I didn't sleep all that well in the hotel, and the ultimate horror happened on Friday morning. At 5 AM I was unable to go back to sleep, so I gave up and turned the TV on. The only non-infomercial programming available was... Charles In Charge! If we had a smilie showing cowering in a corner and whimpering, I'd probably use it at this point. It's hard to believe this was ever on the air, or that people watched it, or that somebody at Nick at Nite thinks it's worth showing. I'm still traumatized.
Now the question is, which got better ratings, the infomercials or Charles in Charge?

Now it's stuck in my head, and I'm at a 3-day training conference where I will surely hear it over and over and I'm sitting in hours-long seminars. Fuck you very much.

Heh.. it would have been no better, unless the Hilton has some magic collection of porn movies that's better than all the rest. Actually what I should have done was pull up a DVD on my laptop, but I was laboring under the delusion that I would still go back to sleep, and I figured I'd be more likely to go to sleep if I were lying down. Oh, well.

Perhaps, but it would have been close enough. The real problem would have been the plot... CiC was less predictable, I think. (Thought not by much.)
