Mar 10, 2010: Piano-Table

Common problem, not enough space.
A side effect of our affluent society is to much stuff, and not enough room for it all.
You see $50,000 SUVs and $75,000 sports cars, sitting out in the weather because the garage is full of stuff.
Poor people usually don't have as much stuff, but can't afford as much room either, so it's a problem for mostly everyone.

One solution is combining things, like a sofa-bed, combination washer-dryer, or a machinegun-flamethrower.
Or you can save space by combining a table and a piano.

You could also throw a pad on top and use it for a bed, or even an orgy, and do it all without having to bother moving from room to room.
Think about it... a romantic dinner, play a silly little love song, and (cut away to euphemistic unfolding flower petals and skyrockets) score!

And the next morning, iron your pants, read your email, eat lunch, take a nap, after school snacks, dinner, homework, and groom Fido.

Put a wood stove in that baby and we'd be all set.

Nice table btw.

Clip a couple of straps on and you could make a piano accordion, using one of the drawers as a squeeze box.

Ugh, think of all the stuff that could drip down onto the keys while you use it as a table.

what?

I'd just take the money and build a huge addition with a piano in it. But that's just me. A dumbass Marine.
xoxoxoBruce • Mar 10, 2010 10:41 am
You wouldn't get much of an addition/piano for six grand. :headshake

If there were any logic in the world, you'd be able to get six grand pianos. :D

As it is, you get an average midi keyboard stuck into a table. Which makes the point of the thing moot. You could buy yourself a fairly decent Roland for $2000 and put it in the closet when you were done with it.

Unless you were rich enough and lazy enough to pay $6000 for something you don't have to put away.

If they can put a piano in the table, I wonder if I could stick my organ in the sofa.

One more add on to the table...stirrups!

But the closet is stuffed with the crap you cleared out to impress your romantic dinner guest. :haha:

Wouldn't you rather put it in a pouf?

Duh, maybe a silly question, but what are those things that look like USB ports on the left of the table? Sort of in a niche? At first I thought it would be really cool if there was a built in computer as well, but then I realised the expensive table would soon be out of date.
Pete Zicato • Mar 11, 2010 5:35 pm
I believe those are buttons - settings for the midi keyboard embedded in the table.
