Feb 19, 2010: Deer & Dogs

Awhile back we had a cat and deer. Now it's the dogs' turn to pass the buck.

Image

Obviously the buck and man know each other, and the little mutt seems more interested in the photographer than the buck.
But the retriever is either new to this, or just can't shake the feeling the buck should be running, and he should be chasing.

Kind of like showing him a Frisbee or a ball, then not throwing it. :haha:

That is reeeeeeeeally weird.

Maybe the buck has rabies.
Or the guy baths in doe urine..

Certainly the buck stopped there.

They're all gay.

I like this. :)

I wonder who is taking the photo though.Another friend of the deer?
They are very close. The person taking the shot is right beside the deer.

All I want to know is...can't the guy afford leashes? Why is he carrying the poodle?

Any idea where this was taken? It looks very Northwest-ish.

The buck must be someone's hand fed pet. That behavior is so wrong.

It looks like Griff's neighborhood.

It looks like Indiana to me, so it really could be anywhere in the Midwest, too.

That deer looks kind of small to me - certainly smaller than the mule deer we have out West. I wonder if the picture was taken in Europe or something.

The answer to all the questions lies in that thin crate on the ground behind him.

ok. So both dogs and the deer enjoy deep dish pizza?

Could be anywhere - Looks like a lot of places around the northeast also.
Without any real background to see mountains or skyline its tough to tell.

My guess is that it was taken in the early spring by the look at his antlers. Perhaps its some sort of deer farm. Perhaps the photographer is the farmer/landowner.

Ahhhh just saw glatt's post. I cannot read whatever it says, but that looks like a blueberry box to me.

Well, the Queen Anne's lace flowers in the background only grow in each of the lower 48 states, so that narrows it down. It's not Alaska or Hawaii.

Mind if I dance with your date?
Elspode • Feb 20, 2010 1:28 pm
Venison and poodle kebabs, anyone?

I keep reading this as "beer and dogs." which would actually be better.
Antimatter • Feb 21, 2010 8:17 am
Even better would be deer and beer

It's a blow-up deer?
