Some of them really made me guffaw.
I think the title used is a little unfair (I know it was the LA Times title rather than yours, Tulip). They're mostly overly literal, or the sort of thing that happens when one word is translated at a time. I don't think they're horrible because you can uinderstand all of them - what would be horrible would be if Western tourists had no idea they needed to be cautious because all the signs were in Chinese/ Japanese etc.

I don't get what's wrong with "Thanks for calling" at McDonalds though. I suppose it's a mistranslation of "Thanks for visiting."

And I loved, "Green grass is beautiful hope your foot give mercy" Far superior to, "Do not walk on the grass"!

I liked "boiled scorn." This type of scorn comes with true hatred!

Underwear Shocks

And, Curved Yellow Fruit (my 4yr old calls Cantelope 'orange fruit')

I love Engrish.

But I'm pretty sure Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump is a properly descriptive First Nations place name rather than a poor translation.

And Frower Design is run by a man named Frower. At least I didn't see any Frowers in that window ...

Several are funny without being wrong, per se.

For more of this sort of thing, search for the term "Engrish" -some of us love a bit of rough translation!

eta: ha! I see wolf posted pretty much the same thing -that's what happens when you write, leave and then hit send an hour or so later without checking what happened in the interim!

No re-entry.

Well, these are horrible translations because as someone puts it, they are mistranslations. Literal translations are translations done wrong. Has anyone tried translating with a dictionary? :p
