Will Obama beat Carter as the worse President ever?

It is hard to think of a U.S. president who has done more to weaken his country on the world stage in such a short period of time -- and that includes the hapless Jimmy Carter.

Obama is just trying to clear the trainwreck Bush & Co. left for him. :p Oh, and welcome to the Cellar!

More tiresome bullshit. OMG he talked to Chavez as they passed by. OMG he bowed. Cut this crap, it's meaningless.

And that one was published April 30, only four months into the Presidency. Now we're heavy into Afghanistan and have predator strikes all over the place, shouldn't he revisit the piece?

Short answer, no.

I don't have a crystal ball, so I don't know about Obama, but your premise is flawed, as Carter was not the worst US president in history.

Except that neither Jimmy Carter, nor President Obama has weakened this country at all, but strengthened it. Both were saddled with tremendous debt inherited by previous administrations; Carter with the debt from Vietnam, and President Obama inherited the worst economic disaster since the Great Depression thanks to Bush's starting 2 unprovoked, unwarranted, unreasonable, and unconstitutional wars.

I doubt there will ever be a President more destructive to America's position on the world's stage, remove our moral high ground, violate civil rights and the U.S. Constitution, etc. more than Bush or the other disaster, Ronald Reagan.

Both of them were more fiscally irresponsible than any modern Democrat. Both increased the national debt far more than President Obama, etc.

Funny topic. Carter was by far not the worst President in our nation's history. He made mistakes as they all do but probably his worst fault was he was a Washington outsider who came in and did not understand the necessity of working with the legislative branch and so they would not work with him. He also was not a very good communicator and while that should not be a criteria for making a good President, it is something that the average American does consider important. Listening to old Carter speeches is painful. Kind of like Lieberman with a Georgia accent!

And it is interesting that most people only consider the past few President's when choosing a best or worst. Historically, the worst ones were probably several of the ones prior to the Civil War and some of the one after wards. The ones previous to the war were guilty of not taking a stand on slavery or not dealing with the expanding power of the southern states while the ones after were guilty of overlooking graft and corruption in the post war period.

One could even argue that the worst one was William Henry Harrison. Delivering the longest inaugural address in U.S. history while standing outside in a cold pouring rain, he came down with pneumonia that made his 30-day presidency the shortest in U.S. history.

Americans seem to have forgo ten that while we have a government that has 3 branches, the legislative is the one we should be most concerned with. I am far more concerned about what my 2 Senators and my Congressman are doing or not doing then the President.
