Dick Cheney

The name almost says it all. Apparently, Mr. Cheney is upset that Obama hasn't bombed anyone new since the last administration.

http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/12/30/cheney-attacks-white-house-hits-back/

Cheney said the president wasn't serious enough about the war on terror. If he means the president didn't prove he was serious enough by invading another country and opening a third front, he was correct.

I think it was right to not ratchet this incident up the same way I think it was right to keep the shoe bomber incident low key. The fact is that 'lone wolf' individuals are always a risk. This is true of assassins and terrorists.

The administration has already turned it's eyes and ears towards Yemen and Somalia. We should never have taken our eyes off Yemen after the USS Cole was attacked in 2000.

IMO, Cheney is a backstabbing political hack. I don't recall a former VP back seat driving a following administration to this degree, especially to the point of attempting to kneecap a sitting president.

Dick should go back to his house, write his memoirs of being a 'wartime VP', and dust off and count his deferments from Vietnam.

I personally would support a party where we rosted his ass over a very hot fire and served him as a meal to the poor of New Orleans.

Roasted Dick Cheney? Haven't those people suffered enough?:vomit:

Not yet. We need to shoot him in the face. Then I will feel like all is fair. But this time let's finish the job. Ummmm ok?

I keep forgetting about the face shooting, which he promptly blamed on the victim. It really is more dangerous being Dick Cheney's friend than his enemy.

It's sort of pathetic watching his daughter try to spin his legacy. I think she's trying to be the less hot looking more radical American version of Alessandra Mussolini.

I say we send Ole Dick on a good will mission to the most radical area of Pakistan.

By himself.

Ole Dick will tell you himself. He's not worried about Pakistan, the real trouble is in Iraq. That's why he put %90+ of our resources there (and took %90+ of our casualties).

Bin Laden, Schmin Laden, aren't you glad we went to all this trouble to take down Saddam?

The change is Dickie is amazing. Remember how we never heard or saw him while he was pulling George's strings? When Dubya finally grew a brain and clipped those strings (roughly a month before they left office), Trickie Dickie suddenly had a lot to say, didn't he?

Get over yourself, Cheney. Your time is done. Today you are nothing more than an irrelevant pimple on the ass of America.

But he is taking a page from Bush number 1 and grooming his daughter for the White House.

The gay one that is going to hell for choosing a life of sin?

I wouldn't be surprised if he took such a hypocritical path, I kinda expect it actually.

No, that's Mary. The daughter in politics is Elizabeth. Elizabeth Cheney is not openly gay. She has a husband and children.

After his last heart operation, he was reported to have 20% of its normal function. No, he was not heartless as so many have speculated. Just did not have very much.

(No wonder he shots his friend in the face and is out of town before the friend is off an operating table. Even Dr Frankenstein stayed around to see if his creation was alive.)

Better show your work there, Rich. What I recall is examination of the matter boiling it down to some miscommunication of who was where. One birdshot to the cheek is more of an embarrassment than a crisis, I should think. Begging any question of "lodging under the skin and causing a nasty infection," unlikely on flameblasted metal in any case.

One should not in any case try and undercut any boogey-men we might deploy against anti-Americans' morale: Don't fuck with Americans or they might send Dick (or Lon) Chaney after you. Or they'll send Sherriff John Bunnell around to bite you a good one.

We do, after all, want the opposition to stay discouraged. We cannot get them to like us, thanks to their furious shitheadedness, so let us simply make them extinct. Or castrate.

Sherriff John Bunnell has become a television personality narrating Cops and World's Wildest Police Videos and suchlike shows. He is notable for a distinctive stage presence, a full head of silver hair, very white teeth, and a tendency to chew his lines through them. It can be fascinating to watch.

You know who pisses me off to no end? The other guy, who's pretending to be in a helicopter above 'the scene', giving a play-by-play. I can't watch any of those shows because of that guy. "This is extremely dangerous..."

Boogeymen, classic; boogeymen to deprive our foes of sleep.

TV has been interviewing Dick Cheney again.

When Cheney speaks, it makes me realize there are two
populations of people in the US, and I'm not in one of them !

If you have something you dislike about Cheney's proposed ideas or policies, then post them up.

Argue the facts, but stop the ad hominem attacks without any facts to back them up.

For instance, I say Obama is an ass-wipe because he shut down the WWII memorials, here, and overseas, purely to upset the older vets being brought in on Honor Flights, from around the country, as well as thousands of other visitors.

I could see it if the feds had to pay much for anything in the WWII memorial, but the upkeep is paid for by private funds.

When I hear Cheney talk, I hear a smart guy, who's very direct, and very intense. He doesn't beat around the bush like so many politicians are fond of.

I don't agree with everything he says, but I damn sure respect the guy. If you had to make an important decision on something, whose counsel would you seek out, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, or Dick Cheney?

He might be right, or wrong, but he's not going to be blowing smoke up my ass.**

** This was actually a resuscitation technique and device, used in the late 1800's. Like most politicians, it never worked.

I don't think seeking counsel from politicians is a wise course of action, especially these three. If you want a lot of purposeless death though Cheney is your man.

Y'all aren't paying attention. Adak knows that "asswipe" is an ad hominem attack; he's saying it's allowed because he has "facts" to back up the attack. It's not slander if it's true, etc.

Like this: Adak is a pissant troll, and I say that because he posts blatant falsehoods and then ignores the well-cited refutations.

Allegation: Adak is a pissant troll.

Challenge: Invalid because it's an ad hominem attack.

Status: Allowed.

Reason: It's true.
Lamplighter • Oct 28, 2013 8:42 pm
How does one go about proving that Obama is an "ass-wipe"

Of course, (almost) every father has wiped an ass or two at one time
or another, so maybe what Adak is saying about Obama is true.

To carry this further, is Adak an ass-wipe too ?
Even if he is not, I'll bet he is at least a nose-wipe.

Etc.... Ad nauseam

Adak lies, and brings a tear to my eye.

I'm sorry, that was an ad homonym attack. What I meant was he was sleeping on the ground and I tripped over him and a stick tore through my cornea. He left me in the dust, and that wasn't right.

I will agree with the adding nausea part, though.
