I have no idea why in the @#$% I can't paste this in the title???????

English Whiskey Comes of Age
After three years maturing in charred white oak casks, the first English whiskey in more than a century is finally ready to flow out to excited and curious drinkers around the world.

While Scotch is famous across the globe, there has not been a single whiskey distillery south of the border with England in more than 100 years.

From Here! Is it strange that we have to get important new from Jakarta??

At about $70 a bottle? Let me know how it tastes if you ever try it. A bit on the high side for me. But I would get a glass someday if I had the chance.

Whisky.

Fascinating stuff though - I hadn't heard of it either.
I'll look into it - maybe we can get Dad a tour. Too far for a day-trip (for them, not me), but they do go to Norfolk on holiday nearly every year, they could stop overnight on the way perhaps.

At $70.00/bottle, you'll find me under the bridge sharing a bottle of Mad Dog 20-20 with my compadres. Hell, one of us might make a run for some port if someone's feeling generous. Send your spare change to SamIam, City Park, Shiprock, NM. And feliz navidad everyone.
