I figured you'll be inundated with stuff about, "A day, that will live in infamy", so on a lighter note;
Chet Cybulski puts up a dazzling festive light display, that grows bigger every year.
It illuminates the whole neighborhood and attracts gawkers from near and far.
Ooooo.... Ahhhhh.... Look at the balloon... look at the snowman and reindeer, kids... kids?... kids?
Leave that yellow snow alone, get over here, and look at the damn lights! ;)
Just to the right of Chet Cybulski, lives Dave Nosek, who is smarter than the average bear.
Every year, Dave sees the amount of work Chet puts into his display, and can guess at the expense involved.
In order to not look like a loser, Dave is forced to match Chet's efforts, and increase it accordingly every year.
Or become Jewish/Muslim/Buddhist/etc.
But Dave figured out a way to decorate his house without the work and expense.
And to maintain a politically correct carbon footprint, so he's not picketed by Greenies.
Viola!
Personally, I'd have chosen Bah Humbug, but I bow to Dave's cleverness.
