WE GOT SNOW! YAY!!!
DanaC • Dec 19, 2009 7:10 pm
Oh I fucking love that Pink hair. That's proper pink, that is.

Me AND Sundae rfn! Oh yes.

I staged this one; but only because the quick snap I took of myself during the ad-break* happened to have the cellar in the background :P

(*which will never see the light of day on account of the fact I looked like I was about to keel over with jaundice! and my black top was smothered with doggy dander from cuddling Pilau, which just looked like the world's worst case of dandruff.)
DanaC • Dec 19, 2009 7:33 pm
And now an experiment:* if I do this enough, maybe I can create my own discrete bubble of reality?

note the little Sundae lipgloss on the desk :P yes, i still have it and yes I use it from time to time. I used it earlier, and hadn't actually realised it was in shot til I looked at the photo:) It generally lives on that incredibly crowded little shelf just below where 'Halifax' the Toad is sitting.

*shamelessly plagiarising somebody else's scientific endeavours on this site - but can't recall whose :P

ugh, you're gorgeous and you have a tidy desk. I hate you! :p

Lovely pic, dana
DanaC • Dec 19, 2009 8:20 pm
Tidy? tidy? hahahahahahah HAHAHAHA

Trust me. There is nothing tidy about that desk. It's just the angle o fthe shot and the fact my head is in the way that masks the chaos. Seriously. That little patch of brown is just about the only clear surface in my entire house. I am goin to start my 'Christmas tidy' tomorrow. I'll take some before shots that actually show what the desk looks like. I might, if sheer shame doesn;t stop me, take a few shots of the rest of the chaos around my house.

Two parcels arrived today; stuff I'd ordered online for pressies. I stood there with the first one and there was literally not one single place, not one surface, not even an unoccupied corner of floor, where I could place it. lol. I went upstairs and the same applied. It was at that point that i realised I have to do something....tomorrow :P The parcels are currently balanced precariously on top of the cooker.

Thanks for the nice comments though :)

also: haircut!

Image
DanaC • Dec 19, 2009 9:47 pm
@Bri and Rich: Thankyou! What lovely things to say. Though, the hair is probably mainly courtesy of the camera's portrait setting...haven't washed it in over a week. Am hoping eventually it'll decide to detach itself from my head and go wash itself!

@ Cloud: I know, isn't that just the most amazing colour? I'd love to be able to go for something that vivid. On the occasions when I buy a hair colour, I always end up with the mildest one available. Partly 'cause of allergies, but also partly because I just don't quite have the nerve lol. But I always stand there for a little while looking at the bright colours and thinking of Sundae, and a little part me always thinks....one day maybe...

Except that it would never suit me quite so well as it suits Sundae. Her colouring and complexion can take it. Difficult to see on a photo but she has a wonderful complexion, a real English Rose. My skin tone looks even because of very kind camera settings; Sundae has the real deal.

[eta] Ibby, lookin good kiddo!

Ibs you look as cute as ever.
That haircut is so formal! Makes me wants to lean over and muss it up a bit. As I'm sure it does half your college...

Brian I so don't remember you having long hair!
Have you been growing it since you last appeared/ do you usually tie it back/ am I just very inattentive?

Answers on a postcard please.

Pickey me? But, but the numbers say "08/15/2009." Brian?

BrianR • Dec 20, 2009 11:58 am
I failed to reset the date on my camera after I inserted fresh batteries. That was a week ago, just after beginning the annual decorating madness. I did brush my hair, as it was in quite a state.

SG: I didn't always. I usually had a crew cut. Yes, I have been growing it. Yes, it spends it's time in either a ponytail or braided. Your attention span has been dealt with in another thread. ;)

Oh, I seem to remember that I did shave earlier, but the blade was a tad dull, thus accounting for the measles-like bumps. Since replaced with sharper blades.

Brian

I firmly believe that I'm only as young as I act.

I did have the hair colored that day to hide the gray seeping in all over. I like it, even if my hairdresser had hair like Bram Stokers' Dracula.

The hair is a LOT more work than I anticipated tho. But I'll get used to it.

I'm using photoshop CS3.
I make a few copy layers, then lighten the entire top layer in levels, then colorize everything. I then erase everything but the hair, allowing the original colors of the layer below to show through. I keep the extra layers hidden as insurance. I then flatten the visible layers and use adjustment layers to tweak the hue, saturation and color balance. That was a quick one, about 10-15 minutes.

Clouds was really easy since her hair was already pretty light I only had to use an airbrush with transparent color.

Just finished 4 months of EMT training, had to take a leave of absence from the ol' Cellar to focus on that. It's been a pretty crazy job so far, got to do CPR on a patient who didn't make it in a hospital ER during clinicals and last week I got an ambulance stuck in a snow bank during a call! Looks like I have a bit of reading to do to catch up on this place.

She doesn't look to be making a habit of eating in the first place for her to have eating habits.

And agreed, she is beautiful, but not cause she's thin.
Ibby • Mar 31, 2010 12:34 am
She's had eating problems in the past. She's over them now - she's taking nutrient powder with the three meals she has a day, over 4000 calories a day... Don't worry. I'm keeping an eye on it. She says I'm helping her a lot with not just that, but a bunch of the other things she's been dealing with lately (father's alcoholism issues, emotionally abusive/blackmailing exes, insecurity... etc)... which makes me really, really happy. Because, as much as I want in her pants... Most of all, I really just want to make her happy, because she is genuinely one of the sweetest, nicest, most wonderful people I have ever met, and she deserves to be happy. She says I help a lot with that, and that I've been making her happier lately than she's been in a long, long time. I'm gonna keep on doing what I can, and hope I can keep making her happy.

REMINDER! We have at least two naturally thin beauties on the forum, if not more. And, no, neither are me!
In some ways thin has become the new fat, in that people are happy to criticise thin people to their face, but only bitch about fat people's choices behind their backs.

I was thin. People worried about me for years. I ate like a pig. It just didn't catch up with me til I was in my 20's. I don't think it's right to promote genetic freaks as the norm - ie 14 yo models who are 6 foot, androgynous and with no meat on them. If that's who it takes to make your clothes look good Designers, then you're designing for the wrong people!

And following that tirade - pictures of me!
Damn.
Came into the thread at the wrong time, right?
Back to blonde.
Shawnee123 • Apr 2, 2010 11:26 am

Shawnee123 • Apr 2, 2010 11:32 am
LMAO.

What the fuck word did I want? Oh, anorexic. :lol2:

I swear I don't know where my brain is these days. I often feel dizzy and like there is pressure in my head. Then I'll bump into things and have trouble standing up. I was gonna start a thread in health about TUMAHS, but it seemed like a hypochondriac. (I really am worried, but I'm also glad I can use it as an excuse.)

God that was funny.

Anyhoo, also, we tend to feel sorry for the dyslexics, I mean the anorexics. It's like we'll afraid we'll break them with our disdain, like they're weak or something. I gotta say, to deny yourself food like that is anything BUT weak. It's not healthy, but it ain't weak.
DanaC • Apr 2, 2010 11:40 am
Go see a doctor Shaw.

My mum had some symptoms a little like you describe. I think it was something to do with her inner ear.
Shawnee123 • Apr 2, 2010 11:43 am
Yeah, you know, I was thinking about my car accident. I got a pretty good slam to the side of my head...but had x-rays done. It just hasn't seemed right since, but it has escalated the past couple weeks.

My ears FEEL fine, but I think you can have problems without necessarily having pain.

I hope it's something like that. Thanks!
DanaC • Apr 2, 2010 11:59 am
*nods* one of the reasons we were so surprised it was her inner ear was that she had no pain in her ear at all.

Wow! Cut the other compliment out because it was a bridge too far for me - but thank you! The "bra" is actually my hair-dying top. It has orange and pink stains all over it. Mostly just from the effect of peroxide on navy blue.

Do I though? I remember being stopped in the street when I was blonde, but that was London. And the children I teach love the pink. I was going to go blue (I have the dye). Mebbe I'll hold back for a while.

The term I thing you're looking for is temporary dyspraxia or aphasia. For yourself I mean. Bad news is that it can be a precursor for many really nasty brain disorders. Good news is I get it occasionally when I have a migraine, or am ridiculously tired (awake over 40 hours etc) and I am hale and hearty. I have poor balance for example. Health Care Professionals were worried about me as a child. They poked me about every wat that was possibly legal and eventually concludede I had an ear problem, but not enough of one to spend any NHS money on.

Even now, I have my hair short because if I toss it out of my eyes when walking I veer into the road.
Check it out if it worries you - given that you pay for tests in America it's worth it for the peace of mind.

And start a new thread! My sparkling photos are being diminished by this chatter!

Thanks for the advice, ladies. I just had a pretty intense wave of dizziness, and a temporary throbbing and that "wahawahahhhhh" noise. Then I just busted out crying, for NO REASON. I'm upset about nothing! It was that "exhausted don't feel well" cry but where the hell did that come from? I went to bed at 9 pm last night, and fell right asleep.

Last night.
Back to blonde for mon pere's 70th.
Mum asked and after all it's not like I'm unhappy being blonde.

Got many thumbs up at school - in fact Ms M held a class vote and by a slim majority the class preferred blonde. But we have 21 boys and nine gilrs - the girls all voted for pink, the Chelsea supporting boys voted for blu and I think the rest were trying to curry favour :)

This was last night. Mum and I were about to go out to see the Lady Boys of Bangkok. Thai TVs singing and dancing in fabulous costumes. She booked it but we both loved it. We then went and had shooters and did karaoke! Well, I did. 9 to 5 as you're asking. I am such a bad influence. And I was mildly flirted with by a man with a peg-leg. He left soon after and I was gutted - he was really nice.

Oh - I couldn't find my fake lashes, so I dragged up by putting sequins in the corner of my eyes. If I look a little manic it's only because Dad was already calling that he was ready to go (to give us a lift I mean).

My actual eye...again, NOT PRETTY TO LOOK AT!!!
elSicomoro • May 7, 2010 9:09 pm
Yeah, Merc...from Sunday night until this morning. Had a stye that turned into orbital cellulitis that then turned into MRSA. Still have to do IV antibiotic treatments every 6 hours at home for the next week. But I'm at home, I'm recovering and I'm incredibly thankful.
TheMercenary • May 7, 2010 9:10 pm
Cellulitus? Couple of days of IV antibiotics? Sorry to hear it dude. Get well soon!
TheMercenary • May 7, 2010 9:11 pm
MRSA is evil. I see it a few times a year.

Don't screw around with it. Esp with loved ones around you.

Hand wash, hand wash, hand wash.

TheMercenary • May 7, 2010 9:17 pm
Oh God that is the most evil tip of the spear. Most cases I have seen are foci in the groin and then work their way up to the chest. Ugly.
elSicomoro • May 7, 2010 9:29 pm
Just hooked myself up through my PICC line for my evening dose...

Actually Jinx, I was incredibly worried about that. Fortunately, it never got beyond the soft tissue around my eye.

I've been on Vancomycin since Sunday night, but we really didn't start seeing improvement until Wednesday morning. That was when ophthalmology took me over to the eye clinic and gutted all the crap around my eye. After only a few minutes of them pulling shit out, I felt instant relief. By this morning, I could pretty much see fully out of my eye again.
ZenGum • May 7, 2010 9:39 pm
MRSA in your eye socket? Holy crap. Glad to see the treatment is working. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for your full recovery.
elSicomoro • May 7, 2010 9:41 pm
Thanks! Yeah, there was real concern that it would spread behind my eye or get into my brain, but thankfully it stayed pretty localized.

No worries, man...the syringe is on a timer that spits it out over 92 min.
TheMercenary • May 7, 2010 9:48 pm
Good. I have seen some bad reactions to Vanc given in less than 40 min. Including hearing loss, kidney damage, and other evil reactions. Hang in there dude. Let the stuff work, stay on schedule. Finish it to the end. Good luck.
Cloud • May 7, 2010 9:48 pm
did you do hot compresses when you first got the stye? (just thinking of how stuff like this could be prevented).
TheMercenary • May 7, 2010 9:49 pm
Once you get MRSA you are done. No amount of Hot Compresses are going to fix it.
elSicomoro • May 7, 2010 9:53 pm
Timer and syringe:
TheMercenary • May 7, 2010 9:56 pm
Cool. I have not used those pumps before but they look just like most of them. Very cool you can do this at home. Huge savings in care costs.
elSicomoro • May 7, 2010 10:08 pm
Cloud, we suspect that I might have gotten MRSA once I got to the hospital, but...we just don't know. This all could have started with a sinus infection, a clogged hair follicle, a scratch...*shrugs*

Merc, because of my size, the amount of vanc in my body has actually been small, so they've been giving me more. They were doing blood tests every day at the hospital and will be doing them every other day at home, starting tomorrow.

Yeah, the clinic I go through has a contract with the hospital I was at, so it's all been set up. Plus my mother-in-law is a home health care nurse, so she can help me with it as well.

Because the Cellar gets pulled a lot from Google, I'm gonna make sure I say this...my care at Barnes-Jewish Hospital was fucking stellar. I had great nurses and doctors and techs. Everyone was nice and they made my stay a little less maddening. I couldn't have asked for better care.
classicman • May 7, 2010 11:23 pm
Sorry you gotta deal with this, but awesome to hear you are doing well. Had a run in with MRSA about a year ago. Nasty stuff. Get and keep some bottles of hand sanitizer around... and USE them all the time!

elSicomoro • May 17, 2010 2:43 pm
Well, the eye is good. Just got back from the eye docs a bit ago...they're pleased with the healing.

I found out at the end of last week that I am now diabetic. Fortunately, I do not have to take insulin or medication for it. I had just started a new "eating lifestyle" before this whole MRSA mess started, and haven't totally abandoned that. My weight is still down from before the hospital stay, but now I just need to kick it up a notch.

It's really weird...it's like I didn't have the classic diabetes symptoms until I was told I had it...now it's like some sort of psychosomatic shit is going on. Stupid brain of mine!

You know what else is weird? When I was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy in '05, I was like, "Shit! Well, I need to get myself better!" I didn't freak out real hard over it. And I reacted the same way to the diabetes diagnosis. The only difference between the two is that I am fully responsible for getting diabetes by not taking better care of myself in recent years. But the MRSA thing? Scared the living shit out of me! I was scared I'd lose an eye or suffer brain damage or worse...never been so scared in my life.
classicman • May 17, 2010 3:05 pm

It's one of the those Catch-22 things, IMO. We've fucked up by using so many antibiotics and antibacterial things. But now the best way to protect yourself is by using hand sanitizer and washing your hands frequently.

The best thing about getting MRSA? If I ever have to be admitted to the hospital again, I'm guaranteed my own room. :D

But dude, I have to tell you, the Cardiomyopathy is more concerning than either the MRSA or the type 2 DM. Hang in there and get some base line data on your heart, an echo, and an EKG to measure the stuff we need to know for changes. Good luck.

I will not lecture you butttttt... exercise more and change your eating habits, Oh, and start taking Red Yeast Rice.

Be well..

It's fun being here. My favorite is to walk to the free museums. I poked my head into the Renwick, across the street from the White House, and checked out an exhibit on crafts made by the interred Japanese during WWII. They scrounged for materials in their camps and made some really cool stuff. Unfortunately, photography is prohibited in that exhibit, so I can't share any of it. But some of them made forges to make things like tin snips and scissors. Others made nice guitars. Pretty stuff too, but I was most interested in the utilitarian stuff they made.

These were personal items on loan from the families. The museum probably didn't want to go through the hassle of getting documented approval from each family. But I'm just guessing.

This same museum allows photos upstairs where the oil paintings are. I figured it was some sort of intellectual property deal. There's a really cool Christie (the guy who drapes fabric over stuff) exhibit in another museum that also won't allow photos.

Glatt: great picture! Didn't know you live so close to the President. :p: Wait, you just work nearby, hehe.

Sundae: You look happy! Did I miss your bday?? Happy Belated Birthday!! :D Sorry, net's been down cuz of all the rain from the hurricane further south. Hijacking someone else's network, surprisingly it works. :p:

LJ: Don't know why, I find your picture sexy.

And this is a picture of me earlier this evening. Went to a wedding, I am slightly buzzed....okay, a bit buzzed but can't sleep. Since i'm not thinking straight, I figured what the hell before I change my mind. Didn't take much pix, and I don't look good since I'm so fat now. Anyhoo....here goes!!!!

Tulip, ya get better lookin every time I see a new picture of you!
Sundae • Jul 6, 2010 2:45 pm
Ah Tulip. From previous posts I can only guess that you were teeny tiny as an adolescent. Nothing wrong with that.
But don't let that skew your self-image now. I very much doubt you have an unhealthy BMI and you look beautiful.

Enjoy it! Otherwise in 30 years time you'll look back at that picture and smack yourself upside the head at how foolish you were wasting time on negative thoughts.
Tulip • Jul 6, 2010 11:48 pm
Thanks everyone for your kind words. :p: I cropped out the "so fat" part of the picture, hihi.

Sundae: I impose super high standards on myself so I won't let myself go, but I don't let that affect my self-esteem. ;) No, I don't have an unhealthy BMI, but the waistline number is a tad high. I am exercising and trying to eat healthier. Thank you for your advice. :D

You're lovely when you're buzzed. ;)
Tulip • Jul 7, 2010 12:06 am

Pleased to hear it, because you are beautiful.

Here is me with my new hair.
I hate it.
It looks like a wig.
In fact I look like Marjory Dawes from Little Britain.

I'd forgotten how unnatural a single colour can look because, well, I've been having unnatural colours on my hair. Because this one apes a potentially real colour the effect is even more false.

Am still trying to work out what to do to fix it.
And no, that biscuitty colour is not what it showed on the box. It was supposed to be coppery. Am thinking maybe a red...?
classicman • Jul 7, 2010 9:26 am
I like it... a lot. You look really nice and it balances off your skin tones wonderfully. Admittedly, I'm not a big fan of the multicolored hair look. I think this one looks real nice on you.

SG - it's just a bit brassy is all. Can you try a toner on it?

It really does look nice with your skin tone - I like it! But, honestly, I've liked ALL the colors your hair has been. They all look great on you.

I am grumpily wearing my hair in a stubby little pony in back. I'm back to hating it. even my hair is bi-polar. :(
Sundae • Jul 8, 2010 12:44 pm
Brassy was what I thought as well.
So here we are a nice glossy red.
Okay, in natural light it's bright reddy/ orange, but I don't mind that really.

I'll persevere with the colour (Feria, thanks to Shawnee & Cic's recommendation) and I assume eventually it will be more dark red/ burgundy and less orange. It's from a proper hair colour line anyway, so it's conditioning, covers grey and doesn't stain the bath. Which means Mum will be happy.

And I'm happy (short-term anyway).
And I know the children will be delighted tomorrow.
They weren't ready for a biscuit haired me. I didn't expect this colour to be quite so traffic stopping, I was going for conventional. But as far as I'm concerned it's the thought that counts - I'll just be moving towards fitting in a little more slowly.
Trilby • Jul 8, 2010 1:27 pm
LOVE IT!

I'll bet the kids adore you!

And you know - I was telling my sis about your attitude about change. Like this: "I'll just be moving towards fitting in a little more slowly,"

And how you find happiness and a good day when you make baby steps - which are all any of us can do anyhow - but I always feel I've got to change the world toot sweet, ya know? and that never works and brings on depression as is clearly impossible task. Your way is the right way to do it.
xoxoxoBruce • Jul 9, 2010 12:33 am

Oh, that's an old cheapie Yamaha PSR-6 from back in the 80s. Behind it in a hard case is an electric piano, another Yamaha, can't remember what model, it has just 4 voices but a nice solid sound and feel. Got 'em back in the day when I actually thought I was gonna be a musician, you know, teenage dreams and all that. :) Always wanted the DX-7; that was keyboard geek nirvana in 1985 or so.

I have a real piano, but I get the electronic ones out now and then to have some fun.

jimhelm • Dec 1, 2010 12:34 am
my toughness is all in my cock now?
Tulip • Dec 1, 2010 12:52 am
Prove it! :frog:
jimhelm • Dec 1, 2010 1:16 am
what, fly all the way to Texas?

I'll meet you in Paragould Arkansas. I know a guy that lives there.
skysidhe • Dec 1, 2010 1:28 pm
several weeks ago, before my birthday

I am embarrassed about my futon in the background. I use one because, my cats seem to like to shred my furniture, otherwise.
My snob side everyone should have a proper couch.
classicman • Dec 1, 2010 1:56 pm
Hiya sky - nice to see you. Looks like you got a piano there as well. Do you play?
skysidhe • Dec 1, 2010 2:26 pm
I am learning to play.

One of my neighbors moved out a couple of months ago. She asked me if I wanted a piano for $300 dollars. I have always wanted a piano, so how could I say no? I just happened to have that much so I bought it. It was nice of her to ask me. I felt lucky.

It's an antique. The piano movers I hired said it was made of Tiger Wood. It was made in New Castle,IN. in the 1800's. It's in perfect condition.
xoxoxoBruce • Dec 1, 2010 3:41 pm
What? You hired someone to bring Tiger Woods into your house? If you'd gone to the local bar you could have got a guy for nothing, free drinks too.

Unless you're trying to latch onto the Tiger's ladies get paid to be quiet gravy train. ;)
kerosene • Dec 1, 2010 3:59 pm
Jim, you are looking fine, dude. Nice to see you. Congratulations on your weight loss.

Sky, don't worry about the futon. The classiness of the piano cancels out the cheeziness of the futon.
Pico and ME • Dec 1, 2010 4:03 pm
I hate to say this Sky because it might be accidentally disparaging you in some way, but you look like you just smoked a doobie.
Big Sarge • Dec 1, 2010 9:00 pm
Sky is high??
skysidhe • Dec 1, 2010 9:52 pm
I don't smoke pot, but right at this moment it sounds like a good idea.
I just woke up from a night of studying, took a photo on the last day of a particular year.

Thanks kerosene. It was worth a try.
I put a really nice memory foam mattress on it and when you lay down and close your eyes ,it feels like heaven. It's cheesiness forgotten if not forgiven.

Yeah, sarge. I just got home. What's for dinner?

Thanks Tulip. All my cousins had brown eyes. All of my aunts have brown eyes except for my mom. My siblings have green eyes like my dad's.

I wish I had your hair, frankly. It's gorgeous.

HI Fargo! I love your pic. It's so crystal clear. You look like a nice couple. :)
In fact. I wish you were my neighbors. I'd bring you some cookies.
( no pot inside them though) ;)

jimhelm • Dec 7, 2010 3:53 pm

footfootfoot • Dec 7, 2010 4:59 pm
sky always looks cute. Cute and about 21.
skysidhe • Dec 7, 2010 5:09 pm
An over exposed photograph can be a beautiful thing.

I am haggardy, pasty, bloaty, weary sometimes and all that.

I assure you. I am probably close to one of your ages. It was just a lucky shot that blurred the rough edges.

The redhead kissing cap'n howdy? Now that is beauty. I wish I had that healthful glow and the cap'ns expression cracks me up.

What were you thinking?
jimhelm • Dec 7, 2010 5:26 pm
foot is a LOT older than I am.

but he doesn't look it either.
Pico and ME • Dec 7, 2010 5:34 pm

I was pondering the reasons too. Earlier, All I could think of was Jane Austin's fight club.

I'm joking. ;)

Shopping at my favorite store
TheMercenary • Dec 15, 2010 9:12 am
We have a Bass Pro here as well, I could go broke shopping there, and I would have to buy another gunsafe. Not a bad thing...
Sundae • Dec 20, 2010 2:56 pm

Oops, missed the B...

Myself and the Diz cat, being festive.
Big Sarge • Dec 20, 2010 3:37 pm
SG - You're looking mighty cute.

Ass Pro? I guess I can be one now that Don't ask, Don't Tell has been repealed. (well, just as soon as the pres signs it).
skysidhe • Dec 20, 2010 3:37 pm
Nice hat. Nice kitty.
glatt • Dec 27, 2010 12:04 pm
Post your last pictures in this 2010 thread.

My wife says I look like an old man in this picture. I'm at my parents in Maine, shoveling their driveway like an idiot in the wind while the snow is still coming down. The mailman was happy though.

I couldn't see a damn thing.
jimhelm • Dec 27, 2010 12:10 pm
Is that your dad glatt?
footfootfoot • Dec 27, 2010 12:22 pm
I think Glatt's wife is probably adding some scotch to her coffee right now.
Clodfobble • Dec 27, 2010 1:27 pm
Here's me a few days before Christmas, celebrating my featherweight boxing victory. My opponent went down like a little kid.
skysidhe • Dec 27, 2010 1:46 pm
glatt,You just need some water. You'll plump back out again.

My face is wrinkled like that when I wake up. One day the wrinkles will stay.

Cute photo fobble
plthijinx • Dec 27, 2010 8:47 pm

footfootfoot • Dec 27, 2010 9:03 pm

No, I was thinking of David Strathairn, but younger. (I don't think he was in Adaptation, but he has been in some films with Cooper)

So he doesn't look like that actor from Adaptation, then. :p:

I thought of Cooper right off, too.
footfootfoot • Dec 28, 2010 8:11 pm
He and Cooper were in Matewan, IIRC. Plt looks a tiny bit like Cooper in Adaptation, but cooper's got some serious bags under his eyes that Plt hasn't got.
