Becca farts in her sleep

sounded like a motor boat running in Becca's bed last night
she had the farts in her sleep it was a terrible fright

I would have opened a window if it wasn't so cold
she was like a baritone belching big loud and bold

I left her bed and went to my room
I left her alone in her toxic tomb

I'm not being mean I just like to tease
and listen to her beg me "don't post that PLEASE!"

My Sisters Big Butt

my sister Becca is quite a trip
quick with a joke and sharp as a whip

she hides my pens then lays and waits
when I ask for them back she instigates

I tell her that her butt is way to big
I don't really mean it it's just a dig

when she gave them back I wrote this for all to see
what a big butted pain my sister can be

Smarter Than You

I told you I knew the name of that song
I was right and you were wrong

I think it's because I'm smarter than you
What I have for brains, you just have stew

fun with Dick and Jane is about your speed
whereas The Odyssey By Homer is what I read

being this smart isn't alway fun you see
it's lonely on top here lonely ol' me

I'm not really this vain, I was just having fun
writing and rhyming so there now it's done

My Self Pitty

I love how your hair kisses your cheek
as mine falls dead, helpless and weak

I wish I could walk in your shoes for a mile
let me be the gorgous girl for awhile

even though visiting boy's aren't allowed
I don't think I would draw much of a crowd

that's why I'm drawn to you women so pretty
I dream that I'm you and there go's my pitty

Yesterdays Fun

Grandma's cooking breakfast and I'm still in bed
with yesterdays fun still in my head

Becca and I made our way to the park
watching dogs play frisbee they run, jump and bark

a little boy cried when he fell off the swing
as birds in love fly, flirt and sing

a woman drawing pictures of the fun things she sees
like swings and slides and a boy climbing trees

-Emma Walker, summer of 2009

I Love Dreams

I love dreams they're wild and crazy
if I sleep in it's not cause I'm lazy

it's because I'm a hundred miles high flying a plane
or being kissed by Corey in the falling rain

don't wake me up because it's getting late
these dreams of mine just might be fate

There's a fine line between caution and paranoia.

Dana, with all due respect, Charles Manson himself could come in here BEING Charles Manson and acting just like Charles Manson, and you'd fall all over yourself that perhaps he's a kinder gentler Charles Manson, and the blood on the post is probably just ketchup, and that strange stream of consciousness post about stabbing and eating puppies was just Charles Manson letting off a little steam, and, and... ;)

Oh, I'm not paranoid, either. I don't really care. Teenager or undercover, the whole thing is boring and stupid. I just hopped in for a bit of fun (yeah, I still crack jokes...I'm waiting on the comedy writers to discover my acidic and disturbing wit) and the admonition that "just in case" perhaps people should curtail the sexual comments. In fact, even not just in case. If she's a teenager, you all should watch yourselves.

Do you frequenters of the intrawebz ever actually read the intrawebz? The crap happens all the time.

Oh come on! She's not caused any actual trouble. She's been a bit full on, and I'm thinking she's probably a prime candidate for a ritolin fix, but she's 'gotta go' is a mite harsh. She might just be getting a buzz out of showing off a little with some new people. And political allegiances (especially if they're slightly at odds with the mainstream) can be exciting when you're young. They should be exciting. So should poetry.

As I said before, it's possible I'm wrong. But it's also possible I'm right. If I'm wrong, then the worst case scenario is any dwellar stupid enough to email her will be in trouble...and we might have offered hospitality to troll. If I am right though, the worst case scenario is that we responded to a kid who was frothing with enthusiasm and a somewhat intense sense of self (i.e a teenager), with hostility and reproach.

The consequences of my being right seem lighter to me than the consequences of my being wrong.

Nope. I would argue that it was a fascinating opportunity and hope that maybe people will refrain from the lynching long enough to hear some insight into how his mind works. I'd also probably argue against any actual lynching. I may put forward the view that anyone whose mind is that far from 'in working order' probably shouldn't be considered responsible for their actions ;P

That does not make me naive. Nor does it make me a bleeding heart who will always see the best in people.

In terms of how people are welcomed or not in these boards, I prefer to assume the best and take them at face value unless very strong evidence presents itself to the contrary.

Expressing that I believe some folks should watch their comments doesn't make me a heartless bitch. If there's always a huge uproar when you join a forum, consider the possibility that some of the things so far mentioned might actually hold a little water. Most forums experience trolls on a semi regular basis. There are certain flags people learn to look for in newcomers. You are (and presumably have been in the other forums) walking in and merrily waving a bunch of those flags.

Then read back to my other posts, Dana, where I sent a welcome sign, before all my warning signs went off.

No matter how you dress it, the automatic assumption is that I'm being unreasonable. It's just as upsetting to me as it is to you when you think you're automatically being told you're "too nice." The difference is you still get to be liked at the end of the day.

You punctuate this by pointing out parts of my posts to which you can say "oh that isn't fair." You wait for the most likely person to be suspect of being an unreasonable bitch to get in on the fray before you say, under the guise of being fair, and meaning all of us, to stop and think of the children.

I've seen the pattern a hundred times, and I'll be damned if I'm going to feel badly about it this time.

Shower guilt elsewhere, I've plenty of my own.

Yes she complimented me on my ability to see good in people. But the jokes all rely on the idea that this is an indiscriminately applied ability. Though it is applied pretty indiscriminately to newcomers:P

I made a tongue in cheek comment about a fine line between caution and paranoia (paired with a tongue in cheek recognition of the equally fine line between welcoming and naive) referring to the board generally and was blown up at.

I can understand Shawnee getting pissed at me for not having her back when a newcomer stomps in and goes on the attack. But that's not what's happened here.

Now it all started two Thanksgivings ago, was on - two years ago on
Thanksgiving, when my friend and I went up to visit Alice at the

church nearby the restaurant, in the bell-tower, with her husband Ray and
Fasha the dog.

There once was a young girl who was named Emma Walker.
She ran her mouth all the time, and was known as "The Talker"

She ran her mouth constantly because that was her choice
Nothing pleased her more than the sound of her voice

She blathered on and on until everyone was bored
But nobody cared, they just sat there and snored

Emma thought she was clever about politics and such
But the truth be known, she was quite out of touch.

A precocious little kid, who would whine and shout
About things she clearly knows nothing about.

Her naiveté has caused her to side with the GOP
Which is a bit like taking part in American mutiny

The Repubs put their donors above the American peeps
And start unprovoked wars, which gives most of us the creeps

They are the party of racists like the KKK
Which is why they want immigrants to go far away

They pretend that they are the party of god
Then go to an airport restroom so they can blow their wad

They are hypocrites and scum who don't care about their fellow man
As long as they can make a profit by invading Iran

It's a shame that poor Emma is so young and dumb
She has swallowed the lies she was fed and now has succumb

To the lies and propaganda that liars and morons will choose
to put on the airwaves and call it Fox News

Emma thinks she's smart and an online troll killer
But the truth is she's a dumb kid and a Glenn Beck Schiller

She has become the very troll that she hates
and thinks our military is not ours but Kuwait's

With any luck someday she will find herself a clue
But until that day, I will bid you adieu

Emma, is it really your intention to alienate everyone here? If so, you've pretty much managed it. What now?

If it ever was your intention to join the forum and participate, it's probably not too late.

What is it you're hoping to get out of this place?
Queen of the Ryche • Nov 25, 2009 4:27 pm
Guess you didn't get the reference/joke.

And chances are, in this thread, if you see an insult/suggestion for a ban/snide remark, it's probably directed at you, so asking "Did you mean Classicman?" "Did you mean Queen Of The Ryche?" is not cute and falls on deaf ears.

I say GOOD DAY.

Can't win? Put down the crack pipe. I've owned you from jump street. Just because you're too stupid to know when you've been beaten, doesn't mean you weren't.

Hey, the word is "argument" not "arguement". LOL!!!

If I'm alienating people it probably because they're dope smoking liberals who don't like my moral values as a devoted Christian... and ladys are usually jealous of me do to my hotness.
Aliantha • Nov 25, 2009 5:01 pm
Honestly Emma, I don't think it's that. In fact, you seem to have pissed off the conservatives more than the liberals. Just so you know, there are plenty of hot ladies in this place, so I don't think it's that either.

Can one of the mods remove that picture? Is that possible?

Emma, regardless of whether your initial intention on joining us was innocent, you are clearly acting like a troll. Or you are a troll. I'm really not sure which. You've been asked by a number of people not to. You've had other people attempt to explain the culture and mores of this community. You are either unwilling to take those messages on board and are acting out in finest teenage fashion, in which case please take your strop elsewhere, it's deadly dull now; or you were a troll from day one, in which case you've had your fun, now please go have it somewhere else.

Right now all that's coming accross for sure is that your current intent is to 'make' us ban you. If that is the case, then you are very close to achieving your goal, I suspect. You'll tromp off to another forum and cast your little whirlwind, whilst wearing the number of site-bans you've accumulated as a neat little badge. We'll have forgotten you by the middle of next week. C'est la vie.

If that isn't what you want, then start pulling back a little.

Radar, for heaven's sake, shut up. You guys are worse than my kids bickering, yet frighteningly similar. I swear, this gal's M.O. is eerily similar to an argument with my daughter -- circular and maddening. Except my daughter wouldn't put in this kind of time, she's got better things to do.

What about the rest of you? You got better things to do?

Right now? Too many to count. But this level of work avoidance is, frankly, hard work. The thing I really should be doing at the moment involves banging my head against a brick wall after running down several frustratingly blind alleys.

Now would be an excellent time for one of you good dwellar-folk to hand me a joint.
Radar • Nov 25, 2009 7:29 pm
Sure, I've got other things to do, but would they be as fun as punishing this troll?
DanaC • Nov 25, 2009 7:32 pm
Don't get too carried away Radar, we're not Judge Dredd. Irritating she may be, but if she is a kid, making comments about her dead mum might be considered a little low.
Dagney • Nov 25, 2009 7:34 pm
Akin to comments about someone's friend dying on 9/11 - when we all know that's a fib? I don't know Dana, my BS meter's been fairly pegged reading all this stuff.
Griff • Nov 25, 2009 7:37 pm
I hadn't even considered that it could be true...
DanaC • Nov 25, 2009 7:39 pm
Yeah. I thought that when I saw it in the list of facts about her. But then there were a couple of questions/barbed comments relating to her mum (whether or not she knew what she was doing etc) and she didn't make a big deal out of them. Right now my instincts say shes trying to get banned, and she's delighting in getting rises out of us. But she hasn't acted like a troll over that bit.
