Manufacturing Error (Why do men have nipples?)

john bainz • Nov 23, 2009 1:35 am
No really... What is this equipment for!?
Certainly can't use it to wear a cap... Right?!?!:eyebrow:
Starring_Emma • Nov 23, 2009 1:41 am
So they know when it's cold outside.
ZenGum • Nov 23, 2009 2:04 am
Males are essentially slightly modified females.
jujuwwhite • Nov 23, 2009 7:43 am
Because they are so fun to play with!

Same reason human fetuses briefly have a tail that goes away while developing in the womb.

Heretic!
Clodfobble • Nov 23, 2009 1:16 pm
Oh, I didn't mean a tail, I meant a noodly appendage.
Cloud • Nov 23, 2009 2:43 pm
there's a book about that

"Males are essentially slightly modified females."

I thought it was the other way round...:yelsick:
Aliantha • Nov 24, 2009 6:13 am
In my experience, men seem to like having their nipples stimulated during 'intimate moments'. That'd be one reason to have them.

Nope. We all start out as females in the womb.
john bainz • Nov 24, 2009 6:26 am
Why is that?
DanaC • Nov 24, 2009 6:38 am
I wrote out a huge response and then my comp crahsed :P

Google it.
john bainz • Nov 24, 2009 6:45 am
I see... ... ... ... ... ..
Ehmmmmm... ... ...... ... Well... ...

How about telling me what you remember about what you wote?
Aliantha • Nov 24, 2009 6:48 am
What Dana says is true, and there's heaps of info out there about it John. Much better if you look it up yourself if you're really that interested.

Just a further note though. There are some who hold the belief that insufficient or excessive amounts of male or female hormones at the stage where the sex of the child is determined is what leads to homosexuality and why many gay or transexual people claim that they just feel the way they do and it's not a choice.
DanaC • Nov 24, 2009 6:54 am
Fetuses don't actually start as 'female'. Zygotes start with a chromosonal gender. The fetus then develops along what appears to be female lines for a few weeks, with both 'male' and 'female' fetuses showing 'ovaries'. When the fetus is exposed to testosterone (I think around week 8), the 'male' changes, with the 'ovaries' descending and developing into testes. The external genitalia also changes, with male developing a penis. In some rare cases, a 'male' zygote will develop into a fetus which is immune to testosterone. In those cases, the fetus never goes through that development from female looking physiology to male. The testes remain in the place where a female's ovaries are, and the penis never develops. They appear to all intents and purposes female. But, the 'ovaries' really are testes. And they are still chromosomally male.
BrianR • Nov 24, 2009 9:56 am
Or, to put it more simply, some get the upgrade package and some don't. Like Dells.
john bainz • Nov 24, 2009 10:19 am
Thanks guys, now I also know about... stuff.

-Would you say someone like Caster Semenya would be a perfect example of this?[/COLOR]

It's been determined that younger brothers of brothers have a higher chance of being gay. It's thought that the first male through the womb sets up some chemistry that the second male is affected by.

No, it's that older brothers always call their younger brothers pussy, fag, baby, etc., giving them a complex.
jujuwwhite • Nov 24, 2009 10:55 am
That doesn't make any sense to me because that's like saying that because I was a very big "tom boy" growing up that I have a stronger urge to be a lesbian. And that my friends, is no where near the truth because if I could reach my own with my mouth, I would go on welfare and stay home all day but i have No desire to be near another woman's 'pot of gold' LoL

It has been shown that transsexual persons have a brain difference that, for instance, in a MTF transsexual, there is a certain area in their brains that is underdeveloped in females and MTFs but developed in males. And vice-versa.

Of course, this isn't true for all and a lot more study is needed but there may one day be a genetic test for a predisposition towards transsexualism or possibly even homosexuality.

I have the study somewhere...

I used to date a guy who would cum after just 30 seconds of me sucking his nips.

Actually studies have shown that "gender rebels" are more likely to grow up to be gay, statistically speaking.

But we all know the proof of the pudding is in the eating :yum:

No study says ALL girls who are tomboys become lesbians or ALL boys who play with Barbies and cart around their Mum's handbag are gay. It's simply a trend supported by numbers.

john bainz;611331 wrote:
Why is that?

The short answer is that it is part of the developmental road. Has been for about three hundred million years at least. Males develop out of females. Some point to this as a reason for the greater incidence of homosexuality among men than women -- two to three times greater. Longer, more elaborated development processes equal more chances for something to miscue.

A wise gay friend of mine once said, "It's not as if somebody sits down and decides he'll be gay to take advantage of the opportunities." No more so than the average het.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Male_lactation

It's not only nipples. Men have dormant but functional mammary glands.

Newborn baby boys (and girls) can occasionally produce milk because of the intense hormones involved in their mother's pregnancy and the hours of childbirth; this is called witch's milk.
