slow ass internet at regularly scheduled times

ffs. mebbe this is just a bitch session but why the heck does my internet (dsl= prob. #1) slow down to slower than a turtle trying to take a crap while crossing I-10 with BrianR barreling down on him? for the past week i've notice that at around 3:00 am every morning it slows down to "hey mebbe i should get dial up!" ffs. just frustrated. i've checked my equip. reset it and so forth. during the day i'm good. but at 3? fuggetaboutit.
damn. my beer has a hole in it. must stop post and refill and smoke too.

It's not you, I've noticed the same thing. After midnight things slow down, and between 2 to 4 am (EST), it's excruciating for most sites, especially the Cellar.
This is with Comcast cable, Verizon FIOS, IE-7, IE-8, and Firefox. :(


Maybe because all the decent upstanding citizens are in bed at that hour, it's punishment for the rest of us. :haha:

Or maybe it's because that's when all the unemployed bittorrent users who live at their mom's house are awake and doing crap.

There is a period in that time frame where the Cellar is backing itself up, when it will be slower than usual.

This explains why sometimes the Cellar is slow. However, my internet does become slower or stagnant quite often too. I've never noted the specific hours so I don't know if it's set on a specific time. I just thought it's Comcast messing with its subscribers. :haha:

Around 4:30/5:30-ish this morning, the Cellar was the only site running slow, of the dozen or so sites I tried.
Just because the Cellar does back up, doesn't mean Comcast isn't messing with their subscribers, Tulip. ;)

aside - A friends daughter has worked for Comcast for 9 years. The day Comcast announced the NBC deal, she and 135 others were informed that next week they will all be employees of AMDOCS, not Comcast. :(

I just realized I'm on the Cellar quite often around this time. :rolleyes:
