often, a customer wants a car that has a particular configurations of options or colors that we don't happen to have in stock. The path of least resistance is to then overcome that objection by locating the vehicle in another dealer's inventory. We call this a 'locate.' It represents more expense to the dealer because we have to pay a driver to exchange cars with the dealer that has that particular car in inventory. So, we encourage our salesmen to sell from stock....to that end, there is a big sign in the salesmen's collective office that says '[SIZE=4]NO LOCATES![/SIZE]'
It is my habit to drive to work with my tie off, and to tie it once i get there. I usually use the window in the door on the opposite wall from where this sign is hung to see what I'm doing. So each morning, I glimpse that sign.......and I always see:
" [SIZE=4]NO LOLCATS[/SIZE] "
and to answer your question.....it's Lahl-cats.
My :apinkr: friend -I introduced her to LOLcats and said her kids would know all about them, and so she asked them, and they were all WTF until she showed them and they say "oh! ell-oh-ell cats....." ....Well, I just marked that down to them going to private school and being sheltered and all that, but then I was volunteering in threthrift store yesterday, and the employees were discussing "ell-oh-ell cats", so I began to wonder if in fact "Loll"/"Lahl" cats pronouncers were in the minority....?

The whole point of LOL is to abbreviate. "Ell-Oh-Ell" is even harder to say than "Laugh Out Loud Cats."
