Another Year Older, and Much Deeper in Debt

Today is my birthday. I'm 34. This last year, I finally became an adult. Taking on a mortgage seemed to do the trick.

The reason I know I'm an adult is because I am spending my birthday going along with the things my kids think are exciting to do to celebrate my birthday (breakfast in bed, acting out a happy birthday play, wrapping up my iphone as a present) instead of things I think are fun to do (sleep in, sit quietly on the back porch and drink coffee, snort blow off the tatted up inner thigh of a high price call girl).

Hurray, I'm in my mid-30's. It sucks.

It could be a hell of a lot worse, unemployed, mortgage default, divorced with a protection order, halitosis, dandruff and limp willy. Happy birthday Mr successful. :lol2:

I must agree.... that would be worse, Bruce.

I remember kinda sorta feeling like that, Smooth. But that was 21 Years ago "when I was your age". If it's any consulation, you will get used to it, and looking back you will like being older just as well as your youth.

OK..... I lied. May you be blessed with many more.:celebrat::birthday:

Smooth, I am another year older and less in debt.
I'm proud of that - I'm still clearing them off, and it has meant having to stay here, but I'm grateful for the chance to do so.

But I do not have your achievements, and I know you must be proud of those too.
A mortgage within your means is almost always an investment. Like children are almost always a blessing. I'm sure you are in the majority.

Anyway, chin up young'un. You're still handsome enough to make female Dwellars melt. We're not high class but the benefit is we'll cook you a nice breakfast.

Snorting blow off of tattooed thighs didn't do much for Entwistle or Palmer. Although you aren't officially middle aged yet, you *are* a musician, so that's halfway to "dead in bed with a stripper". That's no way to celebrate a birthday.

Hang on a tick. You've done coke but not weed? really?
