Gillian Higgins is a physical therapist, horse lover, and a smart cookie. She figured out, people could get more performance from their horses and ponies, while causing less injuries, if they just understood how a horse works.
She came up with the idea of painting the skeletal & muscular systems, right on the horse. That way people could see, and understand, how the inner parts were working together when the horse moves. Bringing textbook pictures to life.
Told you she's a smart cookie. :D
Much better than waiting until the horse goes lame, then lifting the hood, shaking your head, and calling triple-A. :D
