This year's Must-Have item

One of my cow orkers opines that, contrary to usual practice, there is no "must-have" item for the festive marketing season this year, and further says that no company is willing to risk it's "next big thing" in such a flat market.

I'm doubtful. Any product which doesn't get out this year might not get out at all, since it will be swamped by products developed in the near future. And if you had a saviour-product, now is the time to launch it, else your whole company might sink.

So, is there a "must have" item for this year's festive season? What is it?

I was going to say Kindle, too. I got mine last year, trying to avoid upgrading to the DX.
