Why is it?

That whenever I say I'm coming into Phila, the Cities section goes dead silent?
And NO one can get away to munch food of some kind or consume adult beverages in a traditional atmosphere?
Or even offer suggestions on an itinerary?

I arrive on Friday night, will stay at the Comfort Inn on Delaware (Columbus to youngsters), will tour Phila and burbs on Saturday, eating out here and there, and will spend Sunday with a friend in Wyncote. I leave Sunday evening.

If you have an idea for my itinerary or can get out to meet me somewhere, I welcome you. If not, don't worry about it.

And I DO use deodorant. I swear!

It's probably not a deodorant thing, Brian.

But it may have something to do with the reason your dog gets mad at you. ;)

Maybe because lately the Cellar is populated by post-slacker kids who aren't quite old enough to drink and don't live in Philly? :-)

I wish I could go out with you in Philly, but I moved away from there almost two years ago. However, if you, or anyone else for that matter, is around the Minneapolis, St. Paul area, drop me a line, and we'll go to the Chatterbox and play some Atari.

There are still plenty of us Old-Timers in the area.

And I'm going to Timothy's for ribs Saturday night no matter what.

Pats Friday night for a late-night snack and Pudges for lunch Sat.

Pretzels and water ice as I find it. Anyone know of good water ice downtown after Labor Day that is NOT Rita's?
