Dude! You can't clone a clone thread with the title of the original thread.

Ur doin it wrong.
Aliantha • Aug 4, 2009 7:23 pm
He didn't.

Or maybe like me he didn't see the original shingles thread.
Nirvana • Aug 4, 2009 7:24 pm
I don't have them yet but I have been pricing and comparing. My roof leaks! :(
Shawnee123 • Aug 4, 2009 7:25 pm
But yeah he did.

Consider it a reverse posting of a posting of a clone thread. The threads go round and round. :)

Aliantha • Aug 4, 2009 8:08 pm
Yeah...and you can do it wrong too if you want.
TheMercenary • Aug 4, 2009 8:43 pm
Who gets to say it is wrong? Me? You? Anyone? I'm setting the new standard!

Get in line.
Aliantha • Aug 4, 2009 8:49 pm
I'd rather stay outta line and let you deal with it. :)
TheMercenary • Aug 4, 2009 8:50 pm
Why of course. No reason to be shot down on my account :)
Shawnee123 • Aug 5, 2009 11:40 am

We're getting the roof done with Burnt Sienna this month -- and adding three skylights. :D

I haven't got that "it" in so long...is it supposed to be good? I really don't remember. :D

Steel is real.
Glinda • Aug 9, 2009 12:20 pm
I lust for a metal roof. Sadly, moisture/condensation issues here in the Pacific Northwest mean icky asphalt shingle is the best option. :eyebrow:
classicman • Aug 9, 2009 9:02 pm
Wow - Looks really nice - Does it sound a lot louder when its raining?
Griff • Aug 10, 2009 6:26 am
Yeah, it is louder but I grew up with a metal roof so rain on the roof is a soothing sound to me.
classicman • Aug 10, 2009 11:12 am
Oh, don't get me wrong, I love that sound! Thats why I was asking. I think it would be awesome! Too bad its not an option for me where I currently reside. Its certainly on the list for my next home though!
Shawnee123 • Aug 10, 2009 11:18 am
I love that sound too. I sleep like a baby when the rain is hitting my metal roof.
Undertoad • Aug 10, 2009 11:20 am
Do you have earplugs available in case of hail?
Shawnee123 • Aug 10, 2009 11:21 am
That doesn't even really bother me. All hail the hail! Oh hell...hale?

Dude, there ain't no hail in Camelot.
ZenGum • Aug 10, 2009 8:31 pm
Grif, why do your gutters stick out so far at the front (I know, "that's what she said)". Won't they get bent by the weight of snow? And I would have thought Grifftopia would harvest the rainwater from the roof; wouldn't downpipes be better?
Griff • Aug 10, 2009 8:54 pm
The long gutter takes the water out past the swale around the house so all the water runs away. I'm getting out of the gutter business though. The drain around the house is sufficient and I'll have stone in the splash zone by this Fall.
