10 years. and counting.

This past weekend marks the my 10-year anniversary at my job. I'm a paralegal for an attorney. We have a small firm, but I mostly, and most closely, work with the senior partner.

10 years. Woo. that's a hellava long time. A 5th of my life!

My boss and his wife took me out to a nice dinner, which was fun. He said we're looking at another ten years. Let's see, he'll be . . 76 in ten years, and I'll be 62. Yikes!

But I guess it's good it doesn't look like he's gonna fire me anytime soon. I'm always a bit paranoid . . .

Good stuff Cloud. :) My longest at any job was 7 years, and the only reason I left was because they closed up shop in my city. I sometimes wish I'd accepted the promotion they offered me to move, but in the end I know it was for the best that I stayed put at that stage.

You must be one valuable lady. Did you ask for a pay rise? :D

No, not in this climate, though I may ask for extra vacation days.
