I know it doesn't really look so creepy...
it really doesn't look like much at all.



But;

SCIENTISTS FROM Israel's Technion University have unveiled a tiny robot, made using Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) technology, purportedly able to crawl through a person's veins in order to diagnose and potentially treat artery blockage and cancer.

The little robot - with a diameter of just one millimeter - has neither engine nor onboard controls, instead being propelled forward by a magnetic field wielded on it from outside the patient's body.

Yup, that's creepy, reminds me of the fish that swim up urethras.

As if getting under people's skin wasn't enough, Technion researchers say they're also looking at putting the ant-like creature to work in urban water distribution systems, to look for any leaks that need plugging.

I'm not worried by things that don't look creepy.

I couldn't sleep in a room with a clown doll.
But the CCTV network in this country doesn't keep me awake at night.

Well where's the freaking Rosie the Robot to cook dinner and clean? They're going in the wrong direction. ;)

Hey, if this replaces a speculum... happy days.

Soon they will have things like that which will fly through key holes and see what is going down on the otherside.. Little remote spy bots.

Do you mean like modern day keyholes, or those big giant ones for skeleton keys, which you can put your eyeball up to anyway? :lol:

Ha, never occurred to me before, but you don't see big keyholes anymore, with the little swinging cover to keep out the draft, it's all Yale keys these days, young 'uns, don't know you're born.......

Hasn't anybody read Counting Heads by David Marusek? All you'll need is a few hours in a HALVENE tank to flush them all out.

Funny how they got bots that can do things like this, but no one can get a coffee stain outta my t-shirt.
