Jokes About President Obama

It's a bit overdue but here's some real comedy. The best part? Maher's just a little bit conservative, so his opinions have more credibility.

President Obama is a very charismatic man. He's smart, he's likable....he's the president. Seeing him every day every channel all the time is getting a bit annoying, even for those that were slobbering all over him recently.

Enough already.

Thats it? Still pretty funny.

What makes this clip interesting is that Maher's not some raging bible thumping right wing crazy ass anti O lunatic.

He voted for Obama and he has many of the same thoughts on the O presidency as many conservatives.

And then there's the fact that no one that I've seen would even think about making jokes about Obama.

The teleprompter at the foot of the bed says, "who's your daddy"? Risky, very risky.

Meh - missed a lot of the references.
But... who is responsible for Obama being on TV?
By my reckoning... TV

Blame the broadcasters for over-exposure.
Who's to blame for the newspaper headlines? Journalists.
Who dictates what's on TV? TV execs.

I'm all for criticism of Government, and he makes a good point, but obviously he's not going to bite the hand that films him.

Maher is just trying, poorly, to show he is an equal opportunity basher. I don't buy it.
Juniper • Jun 16, 2009 12:18 pm
Oh -- so he wasn't the Savior after all? Dang.

Here's a joke:

Humans. They're dumb.

That is all.
ZenGum • Jun 16, 2009 8:12 pm
Shawnee, the best jokes involve something unexpected.

I bet you didn't expect I'd say that. Oh, you probably did.

Eh, I was in a mood.

Barack Obama says he's created 500,000 jobs while unemployment jumped to 9.4%. Ha Ha Ha. What a funny joke, Barry.

Actually he said "created or saved", which he did.

I think this may be a particular weakness of Democrats. Clinton did the same thing. Fatigue can turn to contempt pretty quickly, his handlers need to keep that in mind.

I've missed the haggis meme. Is there an explanation?
glatt • Jun 25, 2009 10:14 am
In the lol thread, UT said we shouldn't use "lol" anymore because it's been used too much. So Shawnee said that instead of "lol" she will now use "haggis," and others have picked up on that.

More back story, Griff: I was texting a friend and predictive text tried to offer 'haggis' when I had put in the 'hah' for 'haha.'

As Ali said, who knows why it would offer the word, which is why it struck me so funny.
sugarpop • Jun 28, 2009 5:50 pm
ahhhh, I was wondering about the haggis references as well...
Urbane Guerrilla • Jul 1, 2009 7:17 pm
Well, now all is clearer than the inside of a haggis.
