Life imitating Art--dwellar's names IRL
It's a real double take to be driving along, minding my own business, and see one of my fellow dwellar's name passing by the window. In each of these cases, I turned the car around to get the shot to share with you.
Have you seen your name in lights, or on a street sign, or a billboard? Catch it and post it here!
lol I want some of Bri's beans!
Heheh..forgot to ID the dwellars in the opening post, Bullitt and Bri(anna).
Here's one for Flint:

Cool! Thanks!
Here's one for wolf:
Haha nice thread idea BigV.
Oh outstanding, Queenie! *applauds*
thank god those are coffee beans...I'd hate to be responsible for the other kind!
cute thread - ! Can we get a jinx somewhere?
Bri's beans ...
Oh how I wish that shop had sold nuts. Or bananas.

I'm glad you like it.
I'm always happy to oblige a lady, so here's jinx:
Ibram? Apparently, he's ISO 9001 certified.
Pie, I love that. I know ISO cert levels.
Ibram is cert, cert, certified!
ISO9001?
Don't worry, Ibram, we have some nice people who can fix that for you.
Yeah, I had to sweat through my first employer's ISO 9001 cert. Not fun, but cert-ainly educational!
nyuk nyuk nyuk
Awesome find Pie!
Oh I had to do some ISO training when I worked for a hardware merchants. God that was boring.
Man, sometimes it really sucks not having a true username. I did a google search for 'richlevy' images and came up with Cellar IOTD photos where I was included in the thread.
Meh, 9000, 9001 & 14000, ISO certified. :p
This image needs no introduction. I do find it interesting that the RL context is bicycling.

I sent Jinx a pic of our bar down here called Jinx. Maybe she can post it.
This is as close as I could get.
Pic 1 - Already posted this one, but worth flagging for anyone who missed it.
Pic 2 - Does it count if it's A Dwellar's IRL name IRL?
I can't say for sure about the Ginger Mandarin, but in general all of the Brianna's dressings I've had have been awesome. A very good brand.
But can you say the same about Jim's whippy?
[youtubewide]3pcqVQe-4z0[/youtubewide]
think with your dipstick, Jimmy!
Sundae WH.IP's name is Jim too
With a big thanks to Happy Monkey for finding the thread.
My own trumpet. Blown.
Except I'd never apostrophise on a Sunday.
this is just what came up on google image search
i like this thread :D

It is becoming obvious I have a boring handle. I google imaged dar512. After the first three entries (nothing to do with me), then next six or seven pages are made up entirely of cellar images - because my name appears nearby, not because I submitted them.
Your handle isn't boring, Dar. You're
undercover is all.
Although it is time to dig out
this thread so you can 'splain yourself :)

Me, too, bro. Having a handle can, at times, be a limitation to one's true virtual worth.
virtual worth?
A dual meaning there but true by both definitions of the word.
My favorite all time fallen angel pic by sooth.
The second one is amusing.

Now that would make a great Cellar logo. Maybe we should buy the rights.
It's on a gas station/beer mart with a well stocked walk in refrigerator in Blaine, WA.

I don't want to use it, but I'm tired of it squatting there with soaped out windows all this time. It was supposed to open LAST Christmas!

We've had below freezing temps lately and now light rains.
I came across this (skeleton) hydrangea leaf.
I've not come across one occurring naturally.
That's cool. Reminds me of those leaf ornaments you see in fancy museum shops. I always wonder how they make those. If you pour molten metal over a leaf, it's gonna burn up. And you can't, as far as I know, electroplate anything that's not metal.
Ooops. Wrong thread.
I thought I clicked into the "Neat pictures..." thread
Oh well, maybe this too will pass
Same as the chrome plastic trim in cars.
Do they claim there's a leaf in there? If not, it could just be molded. A complicated mold, but who'd notice if they missed a bit here and there?
I guess Google is your friend. I answered my own question by spending 5 seconds looking. Yes, they are real leaves.
"These real leaves, cones, and acorns are hand picked from selected trees and are chosen for the most pleasing shape. The leaves are treated with a wash to make them filigree, brushed with a layer of metallic copper, then electroplated with 18K gold, 24K gold or sterling silver."
As John would say, "More pictures!" Ok--historically accurate, no longer in use:
Historically accurate...I'll say!

I saw a license plate the other day, but didn't get a picture because I don't mess with my phone much while on the interstate.
Anyway, it read:
MERC4ME
I giggled.
I was like, why is that girl holding that bowling ball behind her back? That's a weird stance. Oh, that's not a bowling ball! Why is that girl holding that polished rock behind her back, at the bowling alley? Oh, that's not a polished rock, and it isn't the bowling alley!
Huh...I thought it was a blowing alley too!

actually it was taken at the Key Arena during the season finale for the Rat City Rollergirls. I'd seen this young lady before, we have been seated behind her a couple of times before, but I could never get a good picture of her shirt. She has very long hair and the other shots I got don't show the name properly. I think she's involved at a lower level in the skating organization. There are kids' teams that always run the 50-50 raffle, I buy a bunch of tickets. the jackpot is usually between 1000 and 2000 dollars! anyhow, rollerderby is in the offseason, the next warm up bout is in Fairbanks Alaska in January. I would like to go. maybe they'll hold it outdoors and have the girls ice skate instead. Nah.. as iinteresting as that might be, I think they'd have to bundle up too much to have it be fun. Like skating in sumo suits.
You're taking multiple photos of a roller-derby chick without permission?
Brave man.
Just saw on a local news site, scene from a break-in at a gas station.
Leave your name lying around, whydoncha? Sure way to get busted.

When I was in Great Yarmouth we walked past a really knackered old car that had a Monster (as in the energy drink above) decal.
It gave me the private giggles because who bothers putting a spanky new sticker on a crapped out old car? Especially one that suggests the car is full of life and juice.
I meant to take a pic next time I walked past.... Guess what? Walked past the same pub car-park twice a day for four days - car was never there again!

Just email it to yourself to get it on your computer. No cables to deal with.
You are visiting the Cellar from the browser on your phone? Since you are doing that, you know that it is possible, but the tapatalk app makes the experience much better. I am a cheap guy, but I tell you that the app is worth every penny.
To attach a picture in tapatalk you just click the mountain icon at the bottom of your screen and choose the photo on your phone.

It took a bit of finding, but I see it's in Pacific Co., Washington.
At first I wasn't sure if two locations were being signposted because there's a town called Slough a few miles west of London and I wondered if it was another one of our exports.
Although I hesitate to state this with certainty, I suspect that many people in the UK are unaware that slough means an area of bog or marsh.
Slough (the town), to be brutally frank, is a bit of an urban horror and is best known for the huge trading estate built there from 1920 on.
The expression 'Slough of despond' fits it perfectly.

I was there yesterday but, as far as I am aware, didn't see any other Dwellars.
However, I have my suspicions about some of the crowd who were hanging around the comprehensive display of vise grips/mole grips.
Nice rig dude!!

Purely serendipitous!
I was doing some searches on Carlisle where I spent some time aeons ago and just happened to spot it several results down the list. :thumb:

Also, there is a cat on the priority deal card. Her name is Monster.
And she's from Michigan.
Note to xoB, there are trains.
Spend $40 for a game when there is nobody to play with doesn't sound appealing. :headshake

Should appeal to Dwellars enamoured of fine wines, plonk, metal polish and turps.
...

Our Monkey prolly already knows about this YouTuber, but he's new to me:

Still trying to convince the world peat smoke is a pleasant thing.
Well it's got a good kick but it picked up the taste of the burning peat.
Ah... well... that's not a liability, that's a feature. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.
Not sure from your post what side of the fire you're on, xoB.
I like smoked meat and I like smoky scotch. Fire good, says my inner caveman. You?
I know, I know, time to refresh the color....

Don't feel bad you're not the only one who can't figure me out. ;)
I've acquired a taste for Scotch in small quantities.
Smoked meat that tastes more like meat than smoke is OK if not too dry.
