Kittys Big Adventure

Yesterday evening Carol came from the front yard with a Kitten , squalling and Mewing , she had found it close to the road , by one of our wood piles .
we live in the sticks on a pretty busy road .
She tried to give it some food and milk , no go , it just Mewed for its Moma ,
I noticed that it kept climbing up in the underside of my work truck ( remember this !!)
It mewed All nite , but thankfully our bed room is at the other end of the house .
this morning I didn't hear kitty so I assumed it had moved on in the nite , but just to make sure it didn't crawl up on my engine in the nite I opened the hood of my truck , no kitty .
Just to make sure I got the hose and sprayed down the engine area and the under side of my truck , again No Kitty.
I started up the truck , no nasty Clunk , backed up , saw No Kitty bits , and I figured he had moved on in the nite .
as I was driveing down the road I saw no flying kitty , so all is good right ??
Well I had to drive about 1.5 2 hrs to a job , I stopped about , 20-25 minuets from the job to get a refill on my coffie , etc,,,,
I heard Nothing on the way in so all is good ,
on the way out to my truck I hear MEW MEW MEW !!! .
I looked ALL over saw Nothing . so I drove on , again No clunks , or flying body's .
I Got to the job site , a dude was sitting and smoking out side the maint shop , I still heard the Kitty , so I started trying to Narrow down Where the sound was coming from , not the front , louder the closer I got to the rear of the truck . I squatted down looking in the rear wheel wells , by this time dude had come over to see what was up , I told him , we both started looking and calling , suddenly on top of my fuel tank this little gray head appeared saying MEW MEW MEW !!
I Grabbed him , he clung on for dear life, as my hand got close to the ground it wriggled loose hit the ground and was like a Gray Streak Headed for the Maint shop !!!
he and I laughed , Hell of a story !!

A Little while later Another dude comes up and asks if he can have the SPECIAL cat , I ask if he will take care of it and he looks at me all serious " Thats a SPECIAL Cat to survive THAT trip !!!"
I tell him if you can catch it its Yours , Just keep me updated on the Special Kitty !!!

I love a super-kitty story.

Poor baby. I hope he has a long life, and no more travel.

My kinfolks had a cat that has learned, the hard way, to resist the temptation of sleeping on soft warm freshly tumble-dried clothes that are still inside the tumble-drier; you never know when some human might toss another towel onto the pile, close the door, and press start!!!!

An Adventure Kitty Up date ,
A few weeks ago I was at the same Job site , asked a few of the guys , got blank stares , as I was getting my paper work signed in the office , I started telling the story to the secretary , she interrupted me Immediately " Your the one that brought the cat !!", I said Yes that was me , Hows the cat , fat and happy , doesn't like going out side But Deff fat and happy and Loved , she Named it some thing Appropriate , I cant remember what but it made me Laugh .
