I turned away from CNN today when they were showing the Al Queda chemical weapons training tape in which a dog is killed. (I never downloaded the Daniel Pearl snuff video either.) This is my own little contribution, and its good is that much more visible in the light of this week's particular contribution to evil.

The firefighters are Tip Harris and Brian Colston, the kitten they have just saved is slightly singed, but safe, and they are just trying to give it a little drink.

Totally off topic, but about that dog tape...

from CNN.com -

"The first impression I had is that it's a test or a demonstration of a very powerful and quick-acting chemical that behaves like a nerve agent...such as sarin, which was used in the Tokyo subway terrorist attacks in the 1990s," said John Gilbert, a chemical weapons specialist for Science Applications International Corporation who advises the U.S. government.

That guy works across the parking lot.
