I made a mug.

That is based on 300 posts, logged in 2009, plus Beest and Pooka who have special dispensations for being spouses. Previous mugs have faded in the dishwarsher so be aware. I will be dishwarshing this one so I will report in on whether it can be dishwarshed.

Do you mean 2008? I haven't seen jaguar in ages. He was last here just over a year ago. I'm not saying I want you to change it. It just jumped out at me. I wish jaguar were still around.
Stormieweather • Jan 29, 2009 12:01 pm
Ok I have to have one! It has my name on it :D
Undertoad • Jan 29, 2009 12:04 pm
Er, yes, jaguar was a mistake, I saw 1-18-2008 and thought 1-18-2009.

I'm inclined to leave it.
Undertoad • Jan 29, 2009 12:04 pm
Note that the wordle is "stretched" horizontally to make it fit around the whole mug.
HungLikeJesus • Jan 29, 2009 12:20 pm
There are three or four names I don't recognize. I guess I need to stay in more.

Edit: You could have a T-shirt just devoted to sock-puppets.
Pie • Jan 29, 2009 1:02 pm
Damn, is Bri missing? Or am I blind?
That makes me sad.. :(
Sundae • Jan 29, 2009 1:31 pm
I am never, ever going to compile a list of Dwellars.
But you have to admit it's funny.

And I want that mug. Most.
My parents are getting it for my birthday.
(I'll mention it to them in June)
TheMercenary • Jan 29, 2009 1:39 pm

 It's about time someone said it.
lookout123 • Jan 29, 2009 2:09 pm
Very nice UT. I may just have to order one of those.

Side note: It is quite possible that Jaguar has popped into the cellar a few times in the last year. He emailed me awhile back and said the Jaguar handle is dead but he's got another. Take what you will from that.
limey • Jan 29, 2009 2:09 pm
It's UNCANNY! How did Wordle know that I'd be next to the chocolate :eyebrow: (oh I see it's Chocolatl  ) :D
Cicero • Jan 29, 2009 2:36 pm
:)

Look there's me!! Cool! It's a wordle mug!

Nice!
Pie • Jan 29, 2009 2:36 pm
That's the problem with having a short nic -- it's hard to find yourself in a wordle! :)
lookout123 • Jan 29, 2009 2:39 pm
Don't worry, there's always room for Pie.
Aliantha • Jan 29, 2009 4:41 pm
There's me, out on the 'fringe' all on my own. :sniff:
glatt • Jan 29, 2009 4:53 pm
Yup, smelling those bare feet too. Sicko.
Aliantha • Jan 29, 2009 4:54 pm
yep...I love the smell of toejam in the morning.
Shawnee123 • Jan 29, 2009 6:47 pm

Elspode • Jan 29, 2009 8:30 pm
I got mine! Woohoo!
Shawnee123 • Jan 29, 2009 8:38 pm
I started ordering then realized you have to sign up. I still don't have my home email set up because dude never gave me that initial info you need...I could call them but I was too lazy. ;)

I will order one.

I do want one. I want a lumberjim potato shirt too but maybe next time.
monster • Jan 29, 2009 10:28 pm

Okay...what will you fall for, then?
Skunks • Jan 30, 2009 10:06 pm
heh, funny.

Being both high contrast and relatively horizontal makes me feel slightly obligated to post more in 2009.
Elspode • Feb 5, 2009 10:30 pm
Got my V1.0 mug today. It is Toadally awesome!
Pico and ME • Feb 8, 2009 5:15 pm
Wow, Im on a mug! Thats cool...getting that one for sure!
Trilby • Feb 8, 2009 6:02 pm
YAY! Just ordered my mug! I'm so psyched! Thanks, UT!
OnyxCougar • Feb 11, 2009 2:45 pm
Just ordered my mug.

One teeny request...on future versions, can my name be in black? You know, the whole Onyx of Onyxcougar thing.... :) Thanks Tony!
Undertoad • Feb 11, 2009 2:58 pm
What's weird is that there's no control over that -- the software just assigns the colors. Maybe there's a way to try to make it cycle around until the colors are right...
OnyxCougar • Feb 11, 2009 3:00 pm
No worries, like I said, it was teeny!
wolf • Feb 17, 2009 11:13 am
Yay! I got my wordle mug!!

Yay! I got my calendar.

Boo. They didn't print December's Picture. Did anyone else have this problem? (Dec is an enlarged repeat of Nov, without the Whale Penii visible)
Shawnee123 • Feb 17, 2009 11:13 am
My mug is being shipped!
OnyxCougar • Feb 19, 2009 10:50 am
My mug is here!!!!
Shawnee123 • Feb 19, 2009 10:55 am
Pics with your mug and the mug required. ;)
DanaC • Feb 19, 2009 11:15 am
My calendar is here, minus the December pic. Still very delighted to have it:)
Sundae • Feb 19, 2009 12:46 pm
Mine is here too - I will post a pic as soon as I feel worthy of it.
I have to say, a little disappointed with the calendar. Just a little, and I am still delighted to have it.
I don't think it accurately reflects the care Monster took in making it - there is an awful lot cut off at the sides, and I don't just mean the censored December pic.

Which, BTW, I will be restoring. I'm going to print it out and stick it over.
We used to get calendars every year as one of our stocking fillers - fancy ones I mean, we weren't that poor. First thing my sister and I would do was check our birthday months (hers was March and oddly always got a good picture - as indeed it does on Monster's :)) and then check December. Now it should have been the highlight of the year. The culmination of everything else the year had offered. Actually, it was - almost always, December was the best picture, like evah.

So I am going to recreate the calendar the way that God intended. Or Monster anyway. Hang on, is there a difference?

Undertoad • Feb 19, 2009 4:50 pm
Warning, an initial dishwasher washing tells us that this mug is NOT dishwasher-safe. Hand warshing is recommended.

Goddammit you'd think they would have solved that problem in two years

Maybe another vendor would be better
Sundae • Feb 19, 2009 4:51 pm
S'okay for me - we don't have a dishwasher.
But I agree with the sentiment.
Or is that sediment?
glatt • Feb 19, 2009 4:54 pm
We've had good luck with shutterfly photo mugs going through the dishwasher intact. I'm not sure if it's applicable to this project. Different aspect ratio on the image.

CafePress mugs do the same thing. The mugs are dishwasher safe, the images not so much.

So did my very cool Rumsfeld mug, but I don't know who manufactured them.

I think the quick heat-transfer process just isn't stable. I suspect that there needs to be another layer of glaze over the image.

I lost a really nice Hogwarts mug to the dishwasher that should have been made properly.
Shawnee123 • Feb 19, 2009 6:26 pm
I'm just going to put my mug in the Cellar shrine I have already erected. Oh, does that make me weird?
Trilby • Feb 19, 2009 6:47 pm
heh, heh...shawnee said 'erected' heh, heh...
Shawnee123 • Feb 19, 2009 6:52 pm
eeee wrecked it!
Yznhymr • Feb 22, 2009 5:23 pm
Awesome mug. Be getting mine soon. Is the graphic noticeably larger on the 15 oz mug?
SteveDallas • Feb 22, 2009 5:37 pm

Not if you post a photo of the shrine for us all to see! :D

We ordered a photo mug with the kids' pictures for Mrs. Dallas' birthday several years back. It's survived numerous trips through the dishwasher with no apparent fading. (I'll have to dig up where we got it... like I said, several years.)
Undertoad • Feb 22, 2009 5:39 pm
I only have the 15oz, so... can't say

Y'know, other than the fading in the dishwarsher, it's a solid mug. They didn't go cheap on it, it's the real thing, it's what you want in a mug. It's got heft.

edit: but I don't know what that means. I've got a massive load of heft but it's not a good thing.
Razzmatazz13 • Feb 22, 2009 5:42 pm
I can't wait until I live in my own house...

Someday, I'll have my own good hefty mug.

But I'll always have the Cellar!

It's all about getting you to buy another one. Wash, rinse, repeat.
richlevy • Apr 12, 2009 11:01 am
Add the mug to your shopping cart and then enter this code

SEMMUGS20DIS

It will take %20 off of the mug.

Tony, no offense but a measly 15oz will just not do. I'm going for the 22oz mug. With the %20 off it's actually about the same price the 15oz was, so I'm treating it like a free upgrade.:p

BTW, I'm glad I waited until all of the 'early adopters' could report on the dishwashing.

"You can always tell the pioneers. They're the ones with the arrows in their backs".

Shawnee123 • Apr 12, 2009 11:07 am
Well puh, I already bought one. How do you get a code?

I got the biggie...it's a very nice mug.
richlevy • Apr 12, 2009 11:13 am
They sent me a crappy code in my e-mail but it expired. I just google zazzle and coupon and found a site in the first page of results that had a good code.

I went for a ceramic 22oz mug since I drink hot tea. How many ounces does the biggie hold?
Shawnee123 • Apr 12, 2009 11:14 am
I think the 22 oz is the biggie (in my book, anyway...lol)

Yeah, it's just the larger of the two ceramics, I think.
Cicero • Apr 12, 2009 12:35 pm
Nice. I need mugs that large........ I'm constantly having to refill.

I like my coffee like I like my men.....ok shutting up...:)

I don't suppose your nickname in high school was "Big Gulp"?
Undertoad • Apr 12, 2009 1:29 pm
I thought the ceramics are 11 oz and 15 oz.

For mugs, yes. But steins come in 22oz and are ceramic.

To paraphrase Rocky Horror - "It's just a few clicks to the right".
