Show Me Your Bed, RFN!

Okay, so it may not be the most exciting of ideas, but when I was changing my sheets this morning, I thought, "You know, these are pretty cool looking. I want to show them off."

Yes, my life is actually that exciting!

I don't get into the whole "bedscape" thing. In fact, it embarrasses me to admit that I've heard words like "bedscape," much less use it in a sentence. Twice.

I'm mainly into having a comfy and snuggly refuge. That there are comical pictures of one of my favorite animals, that's bonus.

And no, you won't see the pistol. If you wonder why, you might consider looking up the word "concealed" in the dictionary. I know that's in there. I'm not sure that "bedscape" is. I suspect it is a word made up for the House and Garden Channel. In fact, they may have exclusive title to it, and I may owe them a chunk of money for using it. Thrice.

Here's the bed that I call my bed at present.
Single bed, in my brother's old room, and I suspect this is my brother's old bedding too.

I considered buying myself something new when I moved back, but as the rest of the bedroom is unrelentingly blue, it seemed a bit of a waste of money.

The duvet is pulled back to air during the day, but there's not much more to show. It's not snuggly I'm afraid. But it's clean and warm and I feel safe and that's quite a lot really.

Diz is not posed btw. He just won't be left out of anything I am doing.

SG: Is that a faux finish on the wall or a wallcovering?

That's wallpaper. The norm in the UK, although I think painted flat walls have become slightly more popular in recent years (mostly with the youngsters.... ;)

The room hasn't been decorated in over 10 years, as it was never used (til I came). So it's very 90s. One wall is wallpapered and the other three are painted, but with a freize.

I must admit, I've never had the same home decorating tastes as my parents though...

:worried:
I'll have to go check!

I have seen faces in the wallpaper when I was having a bit of a freak out.
Not creepy ones, luckily, friendly ones.
