Favorite Adult-Type Beverage

In honor of the year's biggest party night, a question. If you drink alcohol, what is your favorite...
--usual old standby?
--special occasion treat?
--something new you've tried?
--beverage to share at a party?

I usually drink Bud Light. I know...boring.

Special occasions, like going to a party, I bring Mike's Hard Lemonade or Cranberry.

Something new I tried just tonight - it's SO good - apple cider and DeKyuper Buttershots. Yummy! Tastes just like a caramel apple. Hope I don't drink too much, while telling myself "just one more, it's only 30 proof." :yelsick:

Beverage to share? Probably a blender with Margarita mix. I love me some Margaritas. But when we go out on NYE I'll probably bring my new caramel-apple concoction with me. :D

I tried something new when I was in Mexico earlier this week. It's called xtabentun.

From Wikipedia:
Xtabentún is a liqueur made in Yucatán, from anise seed, and fermented honey produced by bees from the nectar of xtabentún flowers. To this anise and honey mixture, rum is added. Because of the rum content, the xtabentun liqueur is sometimes called a "distilled honey" beverage, which is misleading, because the honey alcohol is itself fermented, not distilled.
The word xtabentun means, “vines growing on stone” in the Mayan language.
It is usually served straight, cold, or with ice and honey. It can also be served with coffee, creating a drink called Mayan coffee, or with one shot of tequila and an equal part xtabentún, with half a lime, you get a Maya margarita.
I had a sore throat, so drank most of the bottle in two days. Between the anise (which gives it a licorice flavor), the honey and the rum, I'm almost completely cured.

I didn't try it any way but straight. The Maya margarita sounds tempting.

What kind - Alka Seltzer?

Seltzer water. Club Soda? Original recipe called for tonic water, but I really dislike quinine.

All hail the Glen Livet!
All you need is a glass, some ice, and a mouth.
And of course a little class.

This one's pretty small, but I don't think you should be feedin' our children whiskey. Not even a smooth sippin' whiskey.
