Favorite Christmas/ Winter Ale or Lager

This year I've been looking for a great spiced seasonal beer and trying those available here.
I've had Anchor Brewing Co. 2008 Christmas, Sam Adams Winter Lager, Great Lakes Christmas Ale, Breckenridge Christmas Ale, and Santa's Butt Christmas Ale imported from England.

None of them had a really nice, spicy aspect to them.
The anchor was the most different from standard flavors, but I'm still left disappointed overall.

So, what is your favorite Christmas Beer you'd recommend?

Troegg's Mad Elf

Find this.

Consider it an imperative.

a nice dark beer is Penn Brewery's St Nicholas bock.

rogue dead guy ale

blue moon white ale

and if you really like spicy, and 9+ ABV is ok with you......nothing beats the golden monkey

TJ's Vintage Ale seems to show up in early December each year. They don't market it with jingle bells or anything, but it might be worth a try as a seasonal goodie.

Thanks, I want to try them all over the next couple of weeks if I can find them.

I tried Goose Island Christmas Ale tonight. Many seem to be similar in flavor. I'm looking for a standout in spicy flavors.
