Dec 3, 2008: Cork Art

Albanian artist Saimir Strati created the largest mosaic made of corks in Tirana, Albania.
Strati glued 229,764 corks of various shapes and colors over a plastic banner to make
“Romeo with a crown of grapes playing the guitar while dancing with the sea and the sun.”
He worked 14 hours a day for 28 days and completed his project

I would guess the corks were precut and precolored before he started. I wonder how long that took?

My cousins husband makes cork boards out of wine bottle corks.

They aren't as good as that one though that's for sure.

Impressive.

I just noticed the first guy on the left. I think he's about to "critique" it.
